Alabama thread!

Incase y’all missed this in the Alabama overland group. Might be a cool meetup for some of us North AL guys to hang out with the south guys.

 

I own a set of ATX tires. Had the AT2 on my old truck too actually.

 

How do you like them compared to the at2? They don’t look as aggressive.

 

I like it so far. they performed well offroad at Windrock a while back. The at2s I had on a 2wd so I can't give too much insight on offroad performance but I liked them.

 

Recommend me some sliders yall! Preferably full bolt on and no drill and no kickout!

 

@Jerneyman makes some that I’ll be going with when the time comes.

 

Sliders will probably be my first offroading mod I do to my truck. After that, I'll go with a small lift!

I got my first one when I was 5(34yrs ago). It was a Honda XR50R This is my first dual sport though. I use to ride sport bikes.....hence the SN. I've read a lot on Thumpertalk and Advrider. I have been looking into a dual sport for a few years. Just couldn't justify the price. I figure at $500, worst case scenario.....I won't be out that much.

 

You'd have thought we were standing in damn near the same spot Bill is the guy I got the bike from. Good people in my book. Known him for years from the Wrangler world. I talked him into getting his Tacoma

 

Aww yea. Does it matter to you if it’s Saturday or Sunday?

 

Can you do zero degree sliders? I'm not sure if I want a kick out or not. Is there a benefit to the kick out or is it for looks? I like the look of zero degree and the protection from door dings, but not stick out too far.
