Alright guys, a friend of mine recently got hit in her taco(no pun intended). Damage doesn’t look too bad but I haven’t seen it in person yet. I’d like to find her a body shop that’ll take care of her and not try and screw her over. What do you guys got for me, any recommendations?

    Pics for attention.

Dented rocker is bad news bears, that's why we install sliders before doing hoodrat shit offroad, no easy way to fix that

isnt the guy who hit her gonna pay for it? Take it to where the insurance is gonna pay for it. I would never pay the prices but when ive been in that situation and not paid for it caliber collision did a good job. Unless she did what @hoarder23 suggested n went romping w no armor, thats gonna be more expensive than a set of sliders

Rocker panel damage is to the cab of the truck. Doesn’t matter which insurance company covers it, they likely won’t replace the cab of the truck. It’ll be a bondo job or the similar.

Should have had sliders on that bad boy.

What did she hit? Damage all the way to the bed, dang. Insurance for sure, a deductible is probably way cheaper than anything out of pocket.

She says that someone hit her while she was making a turn. No hoodrat stuff! I’m sure she’s going through the other persons insurance, but doesn’t she still need to take it somewhere to get the work done? I’ve never had an accident so I’m not sure how the process goes.

She should call their insurance company and ask for a list of approved shops. Big corporate shops like caliber or service king will usually be approved places, just depends on the quality of insurance the at fault party has

don't go to fix auto in el cajon if they're still there...we took our first tacoma there and weren't happy...they drained the battery and left the truck out open in the rain and tried to return it to us sopping wet inside...

Usually you call your insurance company to work out the issue with that person that hit you insurance. Then your insurance company tells you what's up.

Oh man the cab! I agree with @anthony250f my buddy had the same happen to him where he was hit in the cab and he had to argue with their crappy insurance to get new doors but the bondo was inevitable on the lower portion

Let her insurance deal with the other driver because they may pull a fast one and sue her. That happened to me with a fella and my insurance knew it was fraud, but sold me down the river because it was cheaper for them to pay off the fraud than fight it. She has the right to choose whatever body shop she wants and my work has had good luck with caliber collisions. I've personally used them and Phillip Earl's in El Cajon. She could also get a dealer recommendation.
