i went with 285's, they were cheaper than 275's. i am going to put them on next week. i got firestone destination a/t for $599, after rebate and price match, including install. that was a good deal i think.

That's a great price although I would not want to pay more for that particular tire. I had them on my Ranger back in the recall day.

    Cheers

ok so i have identical 07 truck.. currently have 5100s all around with front set at 1.75 and have rear tsb. running 265/70/17 and wanting a larger tire. now that you have had your new set up for awhile how do your like it? is there anything you would do different? im thinking of going to 2.5" in front and maybe adding another leaf to rear (that will get me an inch right?) and putting 275/70/17 on stock rim ..OR.. getting new rims and doing 285/70/17.. any thoughts on this???

Overall I am happy with how the truck is configured now, however if I could do it again I would have rogered up for the ToyTec coil overs in the front that way I could have adjusted the front myself once I added the 1.5" AAL (post TSB). If I could have my front end set to 3" I would be most happy. Oh yeah....and 285s over the 275s. Hind sight is always 20-20.

    Cheers

that is what i did, went the 285 route with coilovers. the 285's were cheaper than the 275's. i found that hard to beleive. you can get rims on craigslist, just look and
be patient. by the time i bought mine, and sold my stock ones i made 65 bucks. you
will have to loose the front mud flaps, and trim the cab mounts. that is very easy, i
did it myself. i was skeptical at first, but there is nothing to it. a hand held grinder,
with the thin metal cutting wheel blows right through it. here is my truck now.

Did you have any problems with rubbing on the UCA after cracking it up to 2.5" and AAL? I'm thinking of doing the same with my 2006 Prerunner TRD sport with Bilstein 5100 all around, front set to 0.85" w/ 1.75" Eibach springs, 2" AAL in the rear. Should be approximately the same lift.

How much did you need to trim? I'm looking at 275/70/17 Firestone Destination AT on stock TRD wheels. Did you have to use wheel spacers with your setup?

Need new tires soon mine are almost bald. Rainy season is starting an imma slip n sliding.
