You're the only one I've seen, but damn, it looks clean and it's functional. Going to have to get creative to make it fit right I guess.

 

There are 3 key components to make it work: the Davez triple stick linkage, the hurst shifter, and the FJ case short-shift kit made by @NwiTACO

I think all three are necessary components and unfortunately only one is easily acquired. (The hurst shifter)
The linkage would be a crap shoot from Davez and unfortunately Mark (NwiTACO) has been AWOL from TW for quite some time.

Thanks for the heads up though, saved me a few hours of frustrated garage-ape noises and needless heating, banging, and bending!

 

Most other folks just run the twin sticks through a cup holder and the crawl box stick next to the trans shifter.
The end results are the same as far as the mods performance, I just went nuts on the ascetics.

 

Trying to keep the cupholders as intact as possible.

I'm kind of the same way. I can tolerate a few things not being factory looking on the interior but I don't want to get too crazy with it. And I'm a bit of an OCD perfectionist and that really doesn't help!

The linkage may still be available through Davez off road, unfortunately they are just not the most communicative vendor I’ve dealt with.
As for the short shifter on the FJ case, that is something that may be copied.

It would be awesome to have somebody replicate this and not be the only one. Please feel free to reach out for assistance, I’m happy to help if I can.

 

I appreciate the support! I'll do some more research and see what I can find and find out. I'm not the best fabricator but I sure ain't the worst.

 

Rad Designs also makes a triple stick for stock chain drive cases. The owner Rory is a great guy to work with and gives honest no BS lead times. Unlike Daves he actual answers his phone and returns calls if he doesn't. lol

I’ll say that the Davez linkage and shifter are top notch product but the communication blows.

 

Ordered replacement charcoal canister & filter. Should be here this coming week.

Gotta get this thing legal before Winrock.

I was lucky to have @6 gearT444E @V5ioV and @cynicalrider here to help remove it. It went very smoothly.

It's not really all that heavy - it's just super clumsy to move around.

You are right though.... it's just big as fuck so extra hands help moving it evenly and balance and prevent damaging it.

 

Unbelievably it’s like 60lbs less than the previous Leer/CVT setup...
