I just had to drop $160 for big sky. What’s wrong with these resorts with their jacked up prices?

If all you want to do is slide down a slope on some snow/ice, we do that almost every weekend run now :burnrubber:.

Best part is your truck is warm and it's free !

All of the ski resorts in the west are owned by only 2 companies so they get to set the prices

    Long story...

Yeah. I read a book about ski resort history. It was a bear to get through because it was pretty damn boring, but I did learn some things.

Basically all the marketing making everyone feel rushed to buy into the EARLY season pass sales gets money in the bank for them so they can be in the green starting the season. Even if customers buy the pass insurance in case of bad snow year, they still make money, like all insurance companies.

They realized that people coming in on international trips paying a ton for accommodations, food and other resort offerings (massages, room service, etc) weren't that affected by high daily lift ticket prices and, well, screw the person who wants to come "last minute" and didn't buy a season pass. This is one reason that I'm not going to resorts and will stick to the backcountry.

Yep, my brothers flew in from out of state so I had to drop the money to ski with them. The next day we went to the local resort which was only $63. Guess which resort I will be skiing at from now on.

I just got back from a ski trip to big sky. That place is epic, but I was skiing on a pass so cost wasn’t an issue.

Yeah, big sky was epic. Wish we weren’t all out of shape though.

Now your not alone as long as we don't get a lot of snow. I've been wanting to go for awhile but something always comes up.

Back in the Day an all day lift ticket to Breck was $14.00! and that was for a weekend day. Guess I will wait for my next life and see if the price has dropped.

Yep diesel, I personally would clean it out with some gas that’ll go in the mower...

The bigger problem is the price... if they were less I probably would snag them
