He is attempting the facial hair thing but isn't very good at it, but what you see is a shit ton of dirt on his face.

Good to know I have such supportive friends! :brianr:

Anyways, just ordered a bunch of 2awg welding wire to replace the wiring on the engine while it's out, as well for the Superwinch. Also, need to do some reading to see if there's anything worthwhile to spray on the firewall and transmission tunnel for sound deadening while it's accessible. Trying to think if there's anything else I should do while it's out.

I like the idea.... maybe some of that heavy rubberized undercoating?
If you spray anything on it though, I'd make sure you have good paint or primer on there first so moisture that eventually gets behind it doesn't create a rusty nightmare.

That's a lot of money for not much benefit. Don't want to bother.

Likely this thing will stay NA, as it will mid travel.

Was thinking about that, but I've heard such mixed reviews with undercoating. Seems it creates more problems for a lot of people. :notsure:

    I wish. :pout:

Far too much effort to try to fit one in.

I'm starting to think a Lexus is the CO TW equivalent of being vegan or doing crossfit.

Sides are staying as they seem fairly stout and aren't cracking.

Going to rebuilt the whole front with 1.25 1/8" wall square tube. The way the sides of the fender support are designed, I am going to be able to slide the square tubing into the existing structure about a foot to tie it in. At least that's the current plan.

The mounting for the headlights, radiator, condenser, and grill are going to be the tough part, as I know you're aware of. Probably won't even put the horns back in as I never use them. And bought some aerocatches cause what's a few more large holes drilled into perfectly good body panels?

Good deal, interested to see how it comes together. Aeros look nice, I still need to change to poly ones or get the aeros, my stainless discs have about worn through, or at least throw some washers on top.

Tacked up one of the perches. Got them at the right height and the bottom piece hangs well below the frame. Wonder if the 3rd gen 4runner frame is slightly different, or what's going on. :notsure: I'll follow up with Next Venture tomorrow to see if they have any ideas. Could start cutting and try to make them work, but would rather not do that. Not seeing an easy way to get that piece higher, either. :annoyed:

The bottom of the circle is about even with the bottom of the frame. If I cut below it, I don't think I could weld it there.

Is each side identical? If not, could you have flipped them?
