for my access cab a single piece DS was 60" total at ride height. I took a double cardon from a 4runner and extended it, works perfect and no vibes, pattern bolts right up to factory transfer case flange, you will need a double drilled flange for the differential to line up since the flange has a smaller pattern than the taco one

Dont think I ever posted a picture of the final install. Used the RADesigns triple stick shifters to relocate the twin sticks that way they would land right at the cup holder and still maintain a short-throw vs having numerous bends at the shifter. Used two additional shifter boots sewn together and then using staples attached the material to the console plastic on the inside instead of trying to glue it.

    A few tweaks
Checking in with the experts to make sure I'm not doing something dumb.

Got my TG adapter today and was working on it tonight.

The shift rail does not fit. I tried both ends, and tried the other shift rail. They all go in this same amount.

I tapped it lightly with a mallet, but it wasn't a simple burr.

    Anyone else experience this?

Hard to tell the orientation from that pic, you sure you have it in the right hole (no pun intended). Maybe that one is for a dowel pin?

Looks like you’re in the wrong hole.

Thats the correct hole. Can confirm by that allen bolt that lines up with the shift rail as this is where the detent ball and spring go. Try turning the shift rail so that the notches face that allen bolt.

If it still doesn't fit, either slightly open it or warranty exchange it.

I don't think it is as simple as turning it. It is TIGHT.

I emailed the place I purchased it, their comment is that they usually use oil and clean the shaft with steel wool.

I am not happy with that response, but I'll try it. I think it is WAY tighter than that.

Planning to take some pin gauges home tonight to measure it to see just how much small it is.

Seems to be a 14mm shaft, worst case, McMaster has 14mm reamers for $40.

EDIT: Found a cheapy on Amazon for $10. Will have Friday.

Only 2 Companies that are still in the Toyota crawlbox game. TG and Marlin.
Marlin has a wait beyond realistic and TG has had a few inconsitencies but majority of assembled units seems to be doing good.
Go with the 4.7 gears in the crawlbox.

I just wish that Marlin would figure out the 19 spline output shaft issue for the manual transmissions. It's the only thing holding me up at this point.
