No joke. People will get as far as they can in their two wheel drive car or minivan. Then proceed to chain up in the middle of the road. Idiots

I saw this over by Shaver Lake a few weeks ago. I was like dude! That's how you get killed!

Edit: I didn't actually say that. I was thinking it. If I said it he might head my advice of not chaining up in the road and my potential contribution to population control would be gone.

Correct. Also some broke off that group and call them selfs nor cal 4x4 misfits
The group has good intentions. But when you invite anyone with 4wheel drive to follow you and you lead them into 6ft of snow foryourown entertainment. You lost my respect. Then when a group offers you help that clearly is more equipped to do so and you refuse and claim to have in undercotrol.:rofl::frusty:
hrs later they finally get out the way.:notsure:

About 20 years ago the pirates of the Rubicon used to do same shit. I used to run it seven or eight times a season in my cruise and those guys always gave me shit. Lost the feeling for the place now. Always looking for new spots and sometimes I want my own land to put rocks on

I'm glad nobody here tells the under supplied wagon to be trail boss. You know in case you get stuck we can pull you out. And then they just leave. That's the shit I've seen. And tons of it in the snow even if only a little bit of snow.

Chiming in here since I was up there the day 900 other newbies were trying to get to Uncle Toms. Someone did say in that Norcal 4x4 group that they will never bring that large of a group snow wheeling again, sure sounded like an organizer. They need not advertise to the world that there is a snow wheeling trip happening and everyone and their aunt is invited. It only takes one cluster fuck to change the turn of events for the future though and I think that was a good enough lesson. I knew we were in trouble when I gassed the truck up in Cool and a dude rolled up 9 kids deep in an Expedition with mud tires on it. We hit the trail around 10am maybe, by the time we got to Stumpy, there were some people stuck who we helped get unstuck and there were a ton of people stacked up behind us, couldn't even see the end of the line. Insanity! We got to Uncle Toms, had a brew then dipped out. Crossed paths with the cluster around 3pm as they were still trying to get to Uncle Toms LOL, I'm sure there were folks out there who had a long night.

Also that Jeep that broke and had a log under its axle, I pulled him out at Stumpy when we were headed in. Decent people it seemed like but no thanks or anything for pulling them out, oh well.

Ah you felt my pain. Sadly this group has been going for a few yrs now and has only gotten bigger and seems to be less organized. Some lurk here, and they are being blasted on other forums as well.
Hopefully we get the point across and they change here ways.

Want to add after a few days of following these guys on fb. I think the misfits maybe more like me. Too soon to tell. I will keep doing research for science.
