You need to pay more attention. I've already sent the truck to the shop three times for the same problem and its not fixed, it hasn't even gotten a tid bit better. The third time, Toyota refused to do anything about it. Basically admitted to building a subpar vehicle and said they won't fix the problem. Or if you ask me, it's because they can't figure out how to fix the problem. Sound like a good company to you? You crazy if you think so. I just started this thread to see if anyone brought one and it doesn't vibrate during normal use. Don't like my thread, go the freak somewhere else.

How long did you have the truck before this started and is it possible that the truck hit a curb or pothole or something of that nature. I had a Hyundai Elantra that developed a wheel wooble and took it to three different shops, they could not find the reason for it. I traded it for a Mustang, that fixed it for me anyway. Maybe a bent wheel or something like that, I'd try a different dealer first, before getting rid of the truck. Do you let other people drive your truck, I do not myself.

my truck does that. did it since Saturday with 37 miles on the odometer. between 24 & 36 mph. steering wheel vibrates then smooths out. also came with a deep scratch in the windshield. dealer is replacing that today.

my 2011 was built much better.

No bad vibes here . Sounds like the OP should find another dealership to deal with . If you find yourself being a little handy , swap tires front to back to front. If the problem persists , get a new ranger . Then you’ll really have something to bitch about .

OP needs to chill a little, but in his defense im having the same problem and was basically told to fuck off its normal. I opened a case with toyota, was again told fuck off its normal nothing we can do.do.

Edit: also to add to this, when driving with the service manager he told me they get these same complaints on tacomas like 15 times a week.

If toyota takes the stance that it's normal, not defective but maybe a shitty ride, then lemon law and warranty dont cover it.

Op...take a step back...breathe....think about all the 11 million vehicles Toyota sold last year. They don't ultimately give a chit if your truck is not up to standards being that it's 1 of 11 million vehicles they moved in a year. The salesman who sold it to you....doesn't care about you. The service advisor who you are blowing steam to is thinking about his tinder date and what time his shift ends....doesn't care about you.

We want you to get a resolution but from the post you have made in multiple threads it seems like you think throwing some kind of angry tantrum is going to get Toyota to yield to you...that won't happen. Let me reiterate the above advice....stay calm...document everything... and remain patient . If you end up having a case for a Lemon Law you are going to need to be all of those things anyway...buybacks aren't instant and these companies have lots of people who are just as angry and indignant. You should try to stick out from the pack by being calm, cool, and collected.

Good luck, but you may want to think about selling the truck for something you like better. I will warn you though.. if you think Toyota dealers don't give a fuck, you are in for a rude awakening the first time that 8-speed blows out a torque converter.

    Hope you get it resolved.

Hold out to see if Chevy brings the 10 speed transmission to the Colorado/Canyon to the 2020. If they do, it would resolve the Chevy transmission issue they have a class action lawsuit against with the current models.

Makes me smile I got the Tacoma . I almost got the Colorado diesel but the salesman was a dork so I left. That was back in 2017 and went straight to Toyota . Glad I did .

I have some vibes under braking (nothing like OP). Gonna find some time next week to take it in and perhaps have them drive to confirm, and just go from there. My truck has 550mi on it.

Test drove several sports and offraods. Brand new. Took them on highway and every one had a shimmy in the steering wheel. Drove an SR and SR5 and was smooth as silk. Ended up with a 2.7 SR5 that is a laser. Maybe a bad batch of wheels or tires.

My truck has 1400 miles on it and it started about 100 miles in it. I’ve been to the dealership 3 times, two of those times they replaced the rear axle and the driveshaft and the problem still exists.

My 19 had a small vibration at 65 to 70. Took in in to Dealer & wanted tires looked at.. Dealer said all tires were out of balance from factory. Balanced and rotated, truck running much better.

Trading in a new truck never goes well for the customer, especially when you owe more than the truck is worth. Haven’t had it long enough to pay first bill.

Jpugh2003 I have had a similar experience as you with Toyota. I also have a vibration between 50-60 while gas pedal is pressed in addition to the vibration during deceleration from 25 mph to 0 mph. Toyota refuses any repair attempts. Said they drove one off the lot and does the same thing as mine, says it is normal as designed. The normal daiganosis is from Toyota’s regional engineer not the dealership. Dealership won’t do any repairs because Toyota Corporate says not to, due regional engineer diagnosis. Toyota corporate says case is closed. I tried to trade in for a 2019 but dealership gave a very low trade in value on my 2018- get this—— because of the vibrations! So for those of you that say get rid of it and get something else, no one wants my 2018 for a reasonable price because it has these vibration problems, that Toyota refuses to repair! Can’t get vehicle repaired, can’t lemon law, can’t trade in without losing thousands more than average depreciation.
I feel your pain jpugh2003. You have done nothing wrong, you are simply looking for answers just like me. I’m 51 yo and have owned many Toyota vehicles including Tacoma’s. I was a fan of Toyota. But no more. It would be helpful for those of us fellow Tacoma Owners, who are having these problems, if people on here would simply answer the question for this thread. Instead of attacking.
Also, my vibrations started to appear around 700 miles. I now have just over 5,000 miles.

So you'd rather lose 30k than say, 8k? You're not guna get a lot of help on here (or dealer for that matter), just based on your attitude. Take it how ever u want to, but that's the truth.

Mine started about 100 miles in .. been to the dealer once ... stickered for 42k ...1100 miles in and still doing it . I’m looking for a solution too and just as bummed as the next guy. I feel for Jpugh also since I’m in the same boat ... I just want to help him cool off so he can gain some traction back with the dealership.

I just went from a Jeep JL that was littered with problems so maybe I’m just getting a little more used to being fucked . The best thing all of us can do though is dealer trips and getting Toyota to look at it. Maybe we can get a TSB addressing the issue but it won’t come from here, it has to come from Toyota because they are annoyed enough at the repeated warranty work visits without resolution.

How off was the Toyota dealers trade offer compared to kbb @HRINTco ?
