Nothing quite that fun. Heater core and new carpet kit going in. Carpet was soaked and musty. Going to soundskin the floor and firewall while it's all stripped down. Looking forward to a 28 year old car smelling like new.20190226_225403.jpg 20190226_232557.jpg 20190226_233431.jpg

I know a couple guys on here are into stereos and sound quality. What’s the go to for sound deadening material? I’ve always heard of Dynamat but is there other options or anything better? Gonna want to put something in when I do my cage to keep road noise somewhat limited.

    Thanks

I use secondskins. Way better than dynamat IMO and it's made in Tucson!

I used the Noico or whatever the brand is and am pretty happy with it. I wish that I would have put down a layer of MLV as well, but I'm not ripping all that interior out again lol.

    Your credibility is shot
Sorry man, too big. Headed to Anaheim in 2 weeks, but taking the wife's car.
Masteros has a 30% military discount on everything but alcohol. Call in advance to make sure that they still do, but they have for YEARS.

Not seeing any kits for our trucks, or do you mean the package 1 or 2? Not planning on doing doors, just roof, floor, and back so not sure how much I’d really need

Give them a call or email. They will set you up with exactly what you need. Square footage and everything. That's what we did. Told them the vehicle, what the plans/areas were.. and they put together a kit.

Hawaii move is a no go. Position was essentially a lateral move and while the pay would be more there than here for the wife, we just could not justify it. $2500-3000k a month in rent would be a big strain on what would likely be one income for a while. As good as I am at my job in the insurance bus it would be a tough fit for me over there as an outsider. Still not giving up on the idea just has to be the right offer.

Her company is opening up a new chain of smaller bars and quick food like apps instead of the bigger full blown restaurants. Hopefully this opens up some new markets, opportunities for her, and more interesting places to move than Florida, Dallas, or Houston
