Yep. Price kills it for me. Might try and get 2 brand new red ones for $100 a piece plus shipping.

Check craigslist or Facebook for people starting to sell off their 4-packs they foresee not using up.

It’s insane the pricing. The season passes are out of control too.

I used to go backcountry a lot of the time but then I had a daughter. Perspective changed and now I’m exclusively piste.

Can you still just ride Loveland pass?
Used to do that all the time back in the day when no resorts allowed snow boards.
4 or 5 guys and a pickup. Took turns driving.

Yeah, but it's a zoo now. And there are so many ill-informed/ignorant idiots skiing it.

It's a pretty high risk avalanche zone to begin with. Add in folks who are unaware of the conditions with the hoard of others skiing it and it's a recipe for disaster.

The last time I did Loveland Pass the upper exposed area was at high risk and should not be skied on. Most of us knew this and stayed down below in the trees. Except two guys saw, "holy crap brah! look at all that untouched powder! Why are those other people such idiots and not poaching it! Let's go!" As they were hiking up to it there were a lot of people below shouting at them to turn around. Nope.

My friends and I booked it into the trees as quickly as possible, got down before anything happened, and drove away.

Turns out they triggered a small slide.

Ikon Passes for 2019-2020 winter season go on sale next week
Buying the passes early gives skiers unlimited access to Winter Park this April

Yeah, this is why I've been going to areas that take fitness, can't be shuttled, and people end up spreading out once past the initial skin out to an area. I also an picky with who I go out with. I don't have kids to change my perspective yet, but I still want to stay alive and don't do risky/dumb shit.

You know it's going to be a great day when after receiving a few emails from your retirement investment company and then log in only to find 5% of the value that was there a few days ago with a bunch of funky transactions within the last couple days. o_O

Called them this morning and they said it's a glitch from updating the account status (something on their end) and it'll be fixed and put as a "top priority." Still nothing changed as of yet. Wondering if there was actually a security breach that hasn't been admitted yet. :annoyed:

It's one of the big companies... might do you good to log into yours and make sure shit looks correct.
