This is where I have mine. I'll see if I can get a pic later. Mine is a Midland that also picks up the NOAA weather channels.

So I’m picking up the C4 Lo Pro bumper in the next week or so. My question is, the bumper weighs 75lbs.
    I’m on 5100/885’s which gave me a good 3”.
If I go with the bumper without a winch (until I find one) how much should I go down in lift?
Debating on investing in 887’s if need be.

887s are a taller spring, but have the same spring rate as the 885s. So basically you'll get some height back, but how much will be determined by the load you add. The 886s will provide similar lift height as your 885s, but have a higher spring rate as they are designed for weight.

Pretty sure @KaptainH has some 887s for sale if you decide thats the route you want to go.

I lost about an inch when I installed the ARB bumper, but that is considerably heavier. I would guess that you will lose 1/2" at most. I wouldn't invest in the springs until you add the winch.

I’m thinking that’s probably what I will do. I think the 885’s will be able to handle the additional 75lbs fine it’s the extra 70lb winch that May start really making them sag.

As I understand it, the 885 and 886 are the same length but the 886 is a higher spring rate and can be "stiff" even with load. The 885 and 887 are the same spring rate, but different lengths. The end result *should* be about the same with the extra weight but the 887 will be a softer ride as compared to the 886. I have no first hand experience with 886 or 887 springs.

I just know that my HD springs that I ordered with the Toytec Boss kit are very stiff with the ARB bumper and no winch.

I'm definitely going to consider getting the King 700lb springs for my fox 2.5s if I add any weight. My coilovers were advertised preset at 2" but I assume due to the weight of the front diff, etc., they settled to about 1.5" of lift with a little adjustment. The wonderful snowball effect.

Glad to hear that happens to other brands of shocks too. My Bilstein 6112's were at around 2" of lift when they were fresh, but they've settled to around 1.5 - 1.75" of lift here after a couple of years. I'm going to bump them up a notch when I swap out UCA's.

I think they advertise the preset lift for prerunners. That's my conclusion anyways.

Or another highly likely scenario is I'm stupid and measured wrong to begin with.

I’m pretty sure you can get 700# springs from Fox. That is unless you just want the blue coils.

Oh yeah I forgot they use Eibach springs. Looks like it would only be $9 cheaper for the Eibach pair. but I like the blue :crapstorm:

    Thanks man!
I’m gonna wait and install the bumper and just see how much it’ll actually change.

    Man... divulging favorite spots....

I'll post them up, but if you see my truck pull up sometime you have to clear your ass out! Its actually a good group spot, which is why i had these directions saved in this format. isn't there a camping spot thread going too? or maybe its a trail ride thread, i get mixed up. There are also a ton of trout from March - oct., they stock it regularly

Unfortunately can't make the camping trip. I would love too, it has been too long since i have been in the woods.

    From Atlanta:
Take 400 N until it turns into 19/60 North...
Turn left to stay on 19/60 towards Suches (when going straight would turn into long branch road).
Take 60 north (also 9 north and 19 N) towards Suches, about 15 miles...
Turn right on 180 (wolf pen gap road).
Go 4.3 miles, and turn left on Coopers Creek road.
Pavement will turn to dirt, go about 7 miles in...
The dirt road kind of hits another dirt road perpendicular to it, turn right and the bridge is just ahead.

    From Athens: http://goo.gl/maps/iS7nz

Go out Prince Ave, turns into 129
Take 129 to Gainesville, turns into 60 N
Turn right on 180 (wolf pen gap road).
Go 4.3 miles, and turn left on Coopers Creek road.
Pavement will turn to dirt, go about 7 miles in...
The dirt road kind of hits another dirt road perpendicular to it, turn right and the bridge is just ahead.

Picture of the turn off 180 (wolf pen gap road) onto coopers creek road:

    http://goo.gl/maps/THs0Y

Picture of where we camp, Flat creek road will go hard left (there are no road signs), you will turn right, and immediately see the bridge... we will be on the left side of the road either just before or just past the bridge:

Overhead shot of all of Coopers Creek Road, the bridge where we camp is about 7 miles in:

Thanks man, yes I am down to link up anytime. I should start up our Sunday grill outs again. I used to have a group of friends come over every Sunday for the “Lord of the Wings” challenge. We make up some seriously good food over here.
Maybe this should be a thing.
Anyone like to eat up in here!?
