Beautiful design. To answer your poll, I use my key quite a bit. (No pop lock) However, I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum. I like a bulkier fob that I can always tell is in my pocket which is why I went with the ajt one. Again, beautiful fob you’ve designed and I think you’ll sell plenty.

Still tossing the idea if I want to put TRD in the mold. Guess it’ll be a surprise
Thanks for your perspective. We all have different tastes of what fits our lifestyle better. For me it was going smaller, which I’m always trying to consolidate and minamize for simplicity.

I think TRD in the mold would be nice.

I disagree. Keep it small and minimal.

I agree. I like the Meso logo, but i also like it not over powering. The other seller of keyfobs had it better with the “TRD” logo on the back because even though it was big, it is also on the truck, so it looked like it belonged. When they were forced to remove the TRD and use their own, i was turned off. i would have preferred no logo at all in that case, or a smaller logo like you suggested on your case. JMHO

Thats great! I'm going to be in for both probably. I just traded in my volvo, for a year I ONLY carried and used the small waterproof key (no buttons). I miss that key and would love to get back to something like that.

Yup that’s my goal; a buttonless, super thin fob. There are 2 major hurdles that will need addressing though:
    1) FCC ID. Since I would be building this from scratch(sourcing most components) I don’t know if it will comply with FCC since it is in fact a wireless transmitter (stock fob has a FCC # on the back)
    2) customers will have to get it programmed to their truck(identical to the Lexus credit card programming) this requires techstream software and some special OBD2 cables... which not everyone has at their disposal.

Have you considered adding a small edge to use as a box cutter like the Nite Ize DoohicKey?

Great... Another Meso thread I have to sub to that will drop 10 notifications in my alerts per day. I'm all about minimal hassle. Once the found on road dead key comes off I can really clean this up and just attach the truck fob to the keyring and never take it out of my pocket until I need to use the round keyfob to get through doors at work or enjoy an adult soda.

Can’t quite tell from your design but you may even be able to make the bottle opener reversible to allow for both options.
