I know the difference. Spent a couple decades using both, simply misread what you wrote/meant...

Could’ve sworn I read laser somewhere and not just referring to optics, guess too many bumps to the head!

My buddy's CORE is setup this way, and that's the best way to do it I think. The BUIS doesn't really interfere with FOV and some people use it do "drive" the gun while bringing it up to shoot, then "hand off" when the dot is visible.

Think Mumbai / Westgate Mall type of situation. I took an Advanced Combat Pistol Marksmanship class a few years ago. I was popping the center out of clay pigeons at 50+ yds with my RMR equipped G19. Dual Illumination, 7 MOA dot.

Depends on how it's mounted. My slide was milled to accept the RMR and it cowitnesses with suppressor sights

Hey I just got the PTR in yesterday, I haven't done the 200-300rd break in yet, but my charging handle is extremely stiff. Is this something that you remember happening to yours if you bought new? Guy at PTR said to do break in and just keep cocking & dry firing. If problem pursists, I can send it in.

He said tolerances are much tighter from factory to account for wear and tear during break in.

I don't remember it being stiff but I have nothing to compare it to since I've never handled another HK 91 or clone. I'd take their advice and get through the break in. I actually sent mine back for a weird jamming issue and they fixed it right up and it eats all kinds of ammo now.

Save your box until you are good. I could not find a box that would fit the case it comes in and had to make my own box with all kinds of tape.

Very interested to hear your review of the P365 vs Glock 43. Have you taken to range yet?

Appreciate the feedback. Any thoughts or plans for ideal holster and carry location (IWB, OWB)? I understand there is some personal preference involved but again curious about your thoughts as a 43 owner.

43X or 48 vs P365 would be a better comparison, more specificially the 43X. Everyone I've spoken to says they love both, but always lean towards carrying the 43x

I concur with the comparison and will probably pickup a P365 after the "safety" model is adequately reviewed.

I haven't found a Glock that I've liked, ever. YMMV

You're not alone there, I've never really held one I loved. Even my P80 feels like an ergonomic setback from my P07. Its only saving grace is that it's got all the other trappings of a glock in aftermarket and mag availability.

I have a neighbor (retired NCIS Agent) that will only shoot Glocks and swears by them. He is a far better marksman than I will ever be.

With that said, he's had to modify every Glock he's ever owned, to make them fit his level of standards and reliability. Even his Wife's P239 has over $1k in upgrades, but will never fail in an emergency.

For what it's worth, my wife and I attempted to rent the P365 one day and called the range to make sure that it was available. Guy said, "Yeah, it's available to rent, but it's broken currently." Not really something I want to hear about a gun I'm looking to buy. I get it, rental guns get put through their paces and need maintenance just as well, but I can't imagine so many people were shooting that thing that it was broken. I also want a gun that can stand up to the tortures of renting and still keep going... That being said, we went back and shot it the next week and it performed well. Never jammed or malfunctioned. Waiting for them to add glock 43x to rental fleet, but they are selling like hotcakes and I have yet to find a bad review on it.

From what I understand, there were issues with with the first run of this model and a recall was put in place. I'm not sure what the issue was with that pistol, but anything mechanical can break.

I won't own a Glock, because I don't like the way they feel in my hand.

After the MAC review on the 365 I grew hesitant about it. Striker and dead trigger issues in guns with under 1k rounds are scary in a defensive pistol.

Let me know how it shoots. A friend of mine gave one to me because he said he could not hit anything with it. So I took it out and I also could not hit anything with it. So I gave it to a friend of mine and he said he could not hit anything with it . not sure what happened to it after that. It probably got traded for some thing better.
