hell of a lot better than mine! the heat gun definitely works well but like you mentioned, wont last. I'm at the point where its just shiny plastic with patches of nasty oxidized/sun stained :puke:

Did someone say flare clips? :D

These are aftermarket though, cheap as hell if you order from China. I've never used aftermarket ones yet, hope they work well.

Magic Clean Eraser works well cause it actually removes the oxidation rather than just trying to cover it up with products. I use it on my mirrors every few yrs or so & used to do it to the front valance also. I had the valance painted flat black when I got my hood repainted last yr. I got my flares color matched when I got the truck. Just about time to get them repainted again.

Yep, those clips from Amazon worked perfectly. Here's the link in case anyone is in need.

Good to know thanks. I paid like 8 bucks shipped for like 3-4 sets. I got like 50 of those liner clips for like $3. Dirt cheap ordering from China but it takes forever to arrive!

I pay like $150 plus paint but the paint is enough to do another set. I know a guy who paints, I just take em off & drop them off so it's cheap. This will be my 3rd time getting them painted. Back then body shops quoted me like $300-$350, F that!

UBJ’s I’d personally run aftermarket no problem, or at least 555. I rarely hear about upper ball joints failing.

Lower Ball Joints I would never do aftermarket.

OEM UBJ’s aren’t that expensive to begin with. I think I paid like $30 per joint OEM?

Delphi/Metri-Pack is on the Mercedes too.

    Should’ve taken the Daimler-Chrysler hint.

Sorry for the late reply, I was arms deep into the E320 yelling at the German engineer who thought two spark plugs per cylinder was a good idea.

Looks like @Empty_Lord beat me to it. Only thing I could find in the 2003 FSM was the Cylinder Head and Block removal and assembly.

Feels good to complete unfinished projects, slowly crossing off items on my list. I bought this digital read out 3 yrs ago. Lol

That’d be very hard to do if you have fender flares, or just any sort of coordination

    Why?

I've met many of them at his Mod Days he hosts, all of them are cool. Your truck is clean and you aren't afraid to take it off paved roads. Just saying, if it was my ride - I'd enter it.

I'm surprised how easy it's been to work on this engine. Sure, the two spark plugs per cylinder sucks... but it's still better than a Toyota Sienna.

Next up is valve cover gaskets.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Bosch likes to use the older style connectors still and German cars basically do whatever the hell Bosch says
