I do an annual camping thing with a few of my buddies. We used to use Solomons MWR, but wanted something more secluded so we switched to Assateague Nat'l Seashore group sites and those got too expensive and hard to reserve (and cold.)

 

This sounds like a perfect place! And if you wanna explore the area no need to get a permit or camp or anything. Just cruise the fire roads and check it out.
