Tbh I’ve never looked up the Pop&Lock Kit. Mine has an Actuator that you install and plugs into the Wire Harness I include with Wire Loom. You run the Wire Loom from the tailgate to the cab and then you plug that into the PNP Harness. With the Pop&Lock, you will just need to get the Socket Butt Connector and crimp it onto the end of your wire and then plug it into the PNP Harness.

 

Finally, a perfectly reasoned argument with PayPal paid off! Or maybe it was the fact that I proved that they physically had the money from my bank and were sitting on it without probable cause or reasonable justification.

Is there a quick release for if the tail gate needs to come out? Can you make that if no? I ended up canceling pop n lock. And is it loud?

 

There isn’t a quick release but you have just the two plugs that are just inside the tailgate. You could probably connect the Wire Harness to the Actuator on the outside of the tailgate instead of just inside of it. Then just wrap the connectors. When you want to disconnect, unwrap it, etc. It would be pretty easy to do. Personally, I do not think it’s loud but I think that is up to you to decide. To one it may be loud and to another it might not be. Therefore, it’s hard for me to say either way. I didn’t install sound deadening for the first year and the only reason I have it in my tailgate now is because I had some leftover from when I did the inside of my cab. I didn’t want to waste it so I decided to put it in there.
