Before going with a different system, I inquired about the nav override switch requirements as the web info page states “It is reccomended to use a non-lighted, normally closed switch for this modification.” Great/timely response from inventor suggested to use a simple toggle switch, as the lighted switches sometimes cause issues.

Interesting... some speculation suggest “tricking” the speed sensor may cause a location update issue, and you’ll need to return to normal wiring for accuracy (just guessing, could be wrong).

Just installed the system this past weekend. I have a switch pro as well. Brian from anytimebackupcamera.com was extremely supportive and quick on the draw when I had questions. System works flawlessly. I use it all the time. Install took quite a while though, as I am meticulous and test, test, test. Maybe 7 hours with some switchpro hiccups.

    10/10 would recommend.

If navigation Override is left on, GPS won't reengage. It thinks you are stopped, so it doesn't update. (I think that's the logic).

The override bypasses the speed sense into the Entune unit which is used to lock out certain screens while the vehicle is in motion for safety. The navigation will still operate normally as it is using GPS for speed. I have had mine bypassed for months and navigation works perfectly normal. I installed a small toggle switch but just as easily could have cut the wire on pin 17 and got the same result

    Maui, Hi
Do you notice the rear camera flashing on when turning the front camera off? I have a switch pro too but trying to decide the best route to wire this.
Did you wire them separately and set up the “front” switch as a master for the “rear”?

The switch light is on all the time by design. I was told I could unground it and that didn’t work, so I took it apart and put electrical tape over the led.

Did you have to do anything different or the first time after you toggled the override did it take a while to update your location then it started working again?
I tried it when I first did the mod and it wasn't updating after 5 or so mins then I flipped it back off and it worked again. Just wondering if i messed something up or maybe diff HU react differently.

Just leave it for a while. It should catch up. After that I never touched it again. Works perfectly fine even right after starting the truck.

Ok, finally it updated, probably took like 20+ mins. Then it's working as normal! Woohoo! Thanks!

so I think I messed up, I installed the harness and relay last night to my switchpro and accidentally grounded the black wire from the override harness. The backup camera and front camera works fine but I have lost function to most of my other cabin accessories. I also installed TPAM and wired the USB port on it to my cigarette lighter, for whatever its worth. I think there might be a shorted fuse somewhere but haven't looked yet. I am experiencing the same symptoms as this thread. Any ideas on where to start looking? Thanks in advance

Can anyone tell me if there is a system to hook both cameras into a HDR system as a dash cam system?
Instead of having a bulky front camera and a small back camera, a central HDR system utilizing both the front and rear cameras.

"The fuses that blown is the 2nd 7.5 from the top right... ECU IGN no. 2 thats the one powering your hvac, tmps etc.. "

This sounds like what happened to me in a sense when i grounded out the power from the relay when adding a second switch. I'm quoting someone that helped me in another thread.

I remember reading somewhere that this is not a good idea as the cameras are not designed for constant on duty. It might be better to find a dash cam setup that has a rca output that we can hook into the dash instead

Thanks for the heads up, I'll have to look into them more I guess. Probably will have to ask manufacturers the question of constant on duty.
