absolutely, I take all ideas and analyze and think about them. just because I counter with a different opinion or statement doesn't mean I'm tossing yours out the window.

I just never want a "here's how I do/would do it" without the "why" because I always have a WHY to things I say/believe. Seems to annoy people when you expect them to have a supporting reason to their statement moreso than "because I said".

I can cut them out but I like using relentless fab plates.

 

The issue with this is when you're hired for contract labor it's a PITA to have someone watch over your work the entire time and ask questions over and over again. Yes you answer them, but I absolutely love the customers who just go inside and let me work.

I know this guys not working for you, it's just aggravating to be constantly questioned.

 

It's typically easier to just buy them off a vendor. I have had SOS Concepts fill plates in my toolbox for over a year that need to be welded on.

 

lol I was 100% referring to the discussion with Scott, not with the contractors. I let them work, but I want to make sure it's done right. With this stuff work can be done that I can visibly see so I monitor what I can.

the plates are for aesthetics and some guys don't even put them on.

 

Its just a cap to keep junk out of the mount. It doesn't perform any critical structural role.

 

I generally agree, but I do like having customers that pay attention, and care about what I am doing.
