I pull a light aluminium Bass boat but want some lift I'm on a strict budget, yet believe in quality. I am lifting my 2014 Tacoma TRD Sport. $1,500 is the max with install. Any productive input is appreciated.

Dammit hank, where are you located?
    Add a leaf
You add an overload to the stock pack.

It buys you time but you can find a used set of dakars or all pro expos on here in the classifieds

I'm originally from the Austin area but unfortunately live in Virginia now. I appreciate the knowledge. When you say it will but me some time what do mean by that?

It will say, it's a temporary solution. I'd get the full leaf pack replacement.
There is a Virginia thread I'm sure. Most the guys will do mod meets and can help install it.
If you were still in Texas I could have helped you.
We put on a full lift kit for a buddy at an offroad park in about 2-3 hours ish. In a garage 2-3 hours with a few guys.

Well not unfortunate you live in Va where do you live in Va? Some of us may be close enough to help with install. In fact I’ll be pulling my rear suspension out in a month or so to upgrade if interested.

Well you have an active group of guys around Richmond and especially over around the beach. The Va Tidewater thread is pretty active and has mod days. @HeadStrong Off-Road is most likely your best bet for ordering your suspension. I haven't read all this but what are you wanting to do with your truck? street use so looks mainly or offroad use? If some of the guys down there can help you install you should be able to get decent suspension. Something reliable like 5100's up front with Old man Emu 885 coils and a 3 leaf AAL in the rear with some Bilstein 5125's or if you want to spend a bit more you could get an OME Dakar rear leaf pack with some Bilstein B110's. Other stuff like upgraded bumpstops can come later. If you want the Dakars and b110's I would get some 4" extended brake lines for the rear as they flex pretty well.

Yep! If he can get folks to help install he can just order a full OME suspension setup. You will get more flex out of the B110's in the rear though

True, with install OME would be over 1500. I've installed a few of them and would be happy to help if OP was close.

Mainly street and I appreciate the advice. What do you mean by OME? I am still learning all of these acronym's.

OME is Old Man Emu suspension made by ARB. Really reliable and durable stuff.
