Oh I see. You are another one of those full send guys that wants throttle at 0 or 100 and no in between ;)

That’s what I think the 1.03b holdouts want too lol

I’d say the first 1.05 agreed with my truck a little better. I’ve noticed minor stumbling and I believe I have it pin pointed and can kind of manipulate it now

Updating to 04B04 through Techstream went without a hitch. Immediately flashed 1.05 91 Gearlock.. looking forward to testing it out after dinner!

For those wanting to update and not wait for 04B03 tunes... I can walk you through the TS process... I was hesitant, but turned out to be super easy.

Did you disconnect the battery to clear learned values? Every time I've experienced stumbling at certain load/RPMs, disconnecting the battery has basically eliminated this.

I TSB updated through techstream on my own months ago without a hitch. With the new tunes, I decided to clear values through techstream. I couldn't get it to connect, so I just disconnected the battery. Anyone have any idea why I cannot connect with techstream now? Just fails to get communication when I try to connect to vehicle. Could it be lower battery voltage than when it was newer, this is the only thing I can think of? I'm at about 12.3V with ignition on and everything off. I tried all the USB ports and haven't changed computers or anything.

Do you have the correct connector selected in the menu?

    ^ This.

I had the same issue and it was because I forgot to select the correct adapter.

There are 3 versions of the 87 tune for AT trucks: Base, Performance, and Performance With Gearlock. Hopefully Mat’s comments above help answer your question.

1.05 91 Performance + Gearlock is the shit. I don't see the 'tip in' problem guys are having. The response off the line is how the truck should respond. I can see how it gets kinda 'bucky' while driving with the gearlock engaged, especially in 1st and 2nd. I am impressed. I have my neighbor convinced he needs to get OVTuned as well!
