I’m not concerned with turbo cars, all I’m saying is there are multiple companies making similar or more power out of naturally aspirated 4 cylinders than the V6 engines in these trucks.

Please show me a NA 300HP 4-cylinder that produces 300hp within the same price range, reasonably reliable, and not exotic/one-off.

The Subaru WRX STI (Turbo not NA) is 310hp. All the fun you want until the engine or turbo or both blow

NA = Naturally Aspirated, meaning not using Forced Induction, meaning no turbo or supercharger. STI need not apply.

You're right tho on them blowing up, those things are ticking time bombs right off the lot. I don't know why people keep buying EJ25s given that every new generation of it is a new generation of ring land failure (they don't even use that engine in Japan anymore..).

I’ve blown up a Subaru 2.5 turbo and the engine. Four other owners I know have all blown their engines long before 100k miles. There were plenty of other issues. I’ll never own another Subaru turbo or NA.

2013 xv crosstrek I'm selling right now - 2 axles, trans pan leak, rear diff leak, tranny valve body, valve spring recall, and a head gasket all by 114k miles. Oh, and its worth less with 114k miles than my yaris with 160k miles that I paid $8000 less for. Maybe something to do with the lawsuit forcing a CVT warranty extension, lawsuit over bad piston rings forcing an engine warranty extension, and the valve spring recall.

I bought the "reliable and good resale value" kool aid.. Never buying anything but toyota from here out.

Yeah it’s the preferred retailer, that’s how you know you’re getting a quality one.

Chevy Camaro is 2 liter turbo, not naturally aspirated. I was impressed by it. I don’t know of any n/a 4 cylinder Porsche. I don’t know of any 300+!hp 4 cylinders without forced induction. My A4 with 2 liter turbo has 252hp, flat torque curve, and will get upper 30mpg if you keep it at 65 on the highway.

    Still stock completely capable!
There are FI 4cyl our there making more hp than our v6 Tacoma I do agree with that. But highly doubt they have seen the same long term reliability as our Tacoma’s have. It’s a trade more hp normally means less life out of the vehicle. Or less hp more life. If your pushing 300+hp out of a 4cyl that’s tuned and boosted up!
