I want to do this but just cannot open those floodgates again. It probably wouldn't be so bad on a secondary level like this, but it has been the "Uncle Bad Touch" of the ordering process, so call me scarred for life ... haha ... *cries while holding a strong smile*.

How did you apply the paint? What did you use to wipe off the excess paint? Is this something I can pick up at hobby lobby or michaels?

Used a toothpick to smear the paint on in sections and used paper towels to wipe it off before it dried

I have a testor’s enamel paint kit I bought years ago and never used it. Do you guys think that will work to fill the engraving? Anyone try using enamel paint on their knob?

Don't see why not. From what I understand the enamel want dry as fast as acrylic paint. Might even work better

Uh oh, 2nd Genners are onto me (saw the Tacomaholic "Anonymous" build thread) ... there goes the neighborhood.

I thought about creating a thread like this one over in the 2nd Gen parts section, but I really have no business doing that until I can keep up with demand here.

Don't get me wrong I am thrilled that word is spreading, just didn't want to be the one jumping into the deep end.

    Be gentle.

I kid ... really is surprising considering it is one of the most popular trucks on the road.

Yeah, I guess what sets me apart is that most of these designs were created due to requests on the forum. I may have carried out the work, but TW members are my muse and driving force behind literally everything you see in the first post.

This is what I have for that as of now, but nobody has asked for it yet. I'm guessing there is a different font style for 2nd Gen? If yes and there is a good chance for repeatability I generally do not charge a custom fee to develop new engravings (unless they are time intensive). Hit me with a picture and I can get it ready for future orders.
