I only was able to measure its length. 33 inches.

    I estimate between 10-15 lbs.

I have a 15 lbs cat. I figured it weighed similar.

    Funny.

My buddy that took the pic caught one similar at 28". He only uses a spinning rod. He said that he wished he could have caught his on the fly rod.

DAMN! You probably use a 10wt or so fly rod up there don't you?

I caught mine on a ultra lite spinning rod. I had left the fly rod in the truck because it's a pain on that river to fish from shore on fly. Trees everywhere, it's in the middle of the Nation Forest and only a 1 mile stretch that's public, bordered on both sides by trophy trout camps. I usually fly fish it when I wade the river. Mine weighed in at 6lbs 2 oz. 24-1/4"

I'd love to go fly fishing on the saltwater flats down here.

I said the same thing after I landed it.

Funny thing my buddy was up on the bridge above the river and looked down and saw my rod bent over. He comes running down there and says where's the net. I was like dude I don't have one for 12" stocker fish. lol

He saw when it got close to shore and jumped in grabbed it and flung it onto the sand. Haha

I caught that one on a bitsy minnow crank bait. It's like an inch long rank bait, the trout eat that shit up down here.

6 wt. Like I said, we were fishing for brookies. Never expected those big bastards to show.

I have a 10wt that I use for flats fishing in the Keys. I don't like casting it all day, so it only gets casted when you actually sight a fish.

I can cast a 6wt all day. The 10 beats me down.

I keep a spinning reel along with my fly reel and rod. When bank fishing I just put the spinning reel on the fly rod. I don't miss the butt stock part at all.

Mine is a 5wt. When I really want to have some fun I'll bust out my prized Orvis 3wt. You'll think it's about to break in two with a stocker trout on it. lol

I've never used one of the bigger fly rods. Had the TFO 5wt for about 8-10 years or so. I've caught everything from trout, bass, bream to catfish on it. I'd rather fly fish any day than use a spinning or baitcaster. Love sitting around tying flies. One of my favorite I've ever tied was a California Mosquito. That little sucker will catch the shit out of anything. Second one for anything is a Rubber Legged Dragon.

This one was invented by a guide at Callaway Gardens in the county I work in.

So... I've got this 05 impala that I was driving before the tacoma.

I still have it as a backup car. The battery was dead and I was moving the vehicle to the new place. I hooked up my little jumpstarter box and started the car. As I was disconnecting the jumpstarter the hood (with about an inch of ice over the fucker) fell and hit my head.

    good clean fun.
