First time Tacoma owner from CA

    Funny, I never understood the cult behind this truck, so just last month I decided to go out and buy one for the hell of it.

    Pictures to come later; I picked up a 2001 Tacoma Access Cab Pre-Runner with rear locking diff. Bone stock, and since it's always been a CA car, the frame is rust free.

    The forum is filled with a ton of great info, now I just need to siphon through it to figure out what mid-travel suspension I'll opt for.

    My other cars have just sat as I find myself enjoying the Taco as a daily.

    Nice rig!

    From Sonoma County CA. I love my locking dif pre runner as well. Very capable and dependable around these parts! Also nice being able to easily jet down to southern CA efficiently and dependably.
    That mid travel suspension will be something real nice. Welcome to TW

    When it was last registered, since then it's been non-op. 4 bolt main, stroked 383, AFR heads, yank stall, performa-built 4L60E,

    It went through a non-sequential mod to full blown single turbo. I miss that car.
