What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Curious what you did with your bumper? Looks stock but did you powder coat or paint it? What works, and what would you change?

I'm looking to do something similar and don't wanna spend a bunch of cash on a nee bumper.

Also what kind of lights are they?

They are.
I will say they were a bitch to install. At the bottom a metal sleeve slides into the rubber bushing. The Bilstein is sleeve is wider than the stock shock mount. Had to trim it and the rubber down to get a good fit. 1/8th inch or so.
This is at the bottom. Top is fine.

Finished my holster mount today.



Added a 1/2” thick spacer between the holster and the front of the console so it sits better and is more stable. There is a push pin/Christmas tree fastener that goes from the holster through the spacer into a hole drilled into the console.

 

Close, Turner road.

 

Ouch, you're not the first I've heard of with that issue either. I've been thinking about getting them myself.. Nice setup though. Hopefully they're worth the hassle.

 

How was drilling into the roof?

 

How did you attach it to the panel? I used sound deadening and it still rattles

 

Parked like a douche bag, got laid off, got my sliders back from power coating. Went for a drive. Thought about retrofits

Installed the uni filter yesterday. Does everyone that have done this, leave their cover on? I feel like it’s restricting air into the filter now.
