Yeah haha, I've run lots of engines without cats and mufflers and really the only ones that sound half decent have a turbo (which is a great muffler BTW) or are V8s

 

Yes, you don't gain anything by removing the cats except obnoxious noise and a lot of nasty exhaust

 

Friend of mine removed his off his older yota and it sounded terrible, granted it was a 22re but I doubt the 3.4 sounds any better

V6s are some of the worst offenders for bad exhaust sound, but 4cyl header dump is ugly too... here's mine

I like the Z31 V6 exhaust note but only because it has the really aggressive cam to help it
