Ok, advice request, suggestions, whatever. Fitness friends...

I need to get back into fitness, in some sort of fashion. I love mountain biking, but it's hard to do that enough to stay in shape for it. The closest place to ride right now is 25+ minutes away and can't ride if weather is bad. I'm wanting the new park to open up for me to ride some at since it's closer to my house, but that still won't be a consistent means of getting into shape.

I used to powerlift a lot. Like 4-6 hours a day in the gym, sometimes 2 a days. I can't do that anymore. That was when I had a part time job and like 0 responsibility. Since i used to do that, lifting weights isn't the same to me. I always think "I used to do this so easily" or "I wish I had this equipment" or whatever. It's always more of a downer than it is motivating to workout. I have some general equipment at home that I can use, but I'd rather find something more of a commitment to MAKE me get in shape and workout.

I'm looking at possibly joining an ultimate frisbee league here in huntsville, but again that's only 1 day a week to play.

I've got a lot of stress right now, and never feel like I have time (partially because I don't want to make time), but what can you guys suggest/recommend or whatever on what I should do? I'm a very structured/planned/organized type of person when it comes to this stuff so I need like plans/agendas type things to make myself focus and stay committed. When I go into my home gym I just piddle around and really don't do anything productive.

    help!

4-6 hours a day in gym is pointless.. IMO, but I never was a Rich Piana fan either.
My best workouts were one where I timed my rest periods and still pushed great weight with a spot and when I hit failure say on bench I would lower the weight on descent slow as possible and spot would help pick it up. The motivation part is be a self motivator, get your girl to help motivate you. I'm unsure on that part.

Ultimate frisbee is probably free which is great, but training in a skill such as kickboxing or jiu jitsu is a great workout. BJJ is going to be a lot safer than wrestling as it's not about throwing each other around.

Vacuum your house daily.. that shit get's me super tired. lol

Joining a gym is not going to be on my agenda right now. I have the equipment at home to accomplish almost the same things I could in a gym, at least enough, so I could not justify paying to join one....plus the gyms near me suck ass.

Not looking for opinions on someones work out method vs yours, just suggestions for things to be done that would work for me that would help get me in shape. I say gym is out because I'm not going to have the time or really the desire to do what i used to do.

Are workouts at a local gym before work an option?

Edit - Just saw your response above

I mean, most anything is an OPTION, but like I said with the equipment I own I can't really justify getting into a gym as well.

I don't have a strong desire to lift weights again right now because like I said it's always demotivating to know I'm not at the level I was anymore. If someone had a great plan or way to get out of that mindset and focus on other things I would love that. I basically only know powerlifting lol. I need to be better at cardio and endurance for sure. It's just cardio/running is something I hate, but should do, and just don't know the right way to go about it and train for it.
