Lol. I quit seeing a lot of those due to the Charlottesville thing.

Yeah alot of states should split imo. Virginia being one of them. Like 2 counties near DC decide all of their politics. NC couldnt do it cause our major cities are so spread out, wouldnt accomplish anything.

 

As long as it’s an even number of states and the stars on the flag line up right, I’m good.

There’s a lot of those I see driving around San Francisco with California plates. Makes me wonder how they get around Emissions.

 

I would love to live in SC one day. NC is starting to get too far away from my beliefs. If the two combined, the NC side would control the vote anyway as thats where the major cities are. Pretty sure politics is why they split up in the first place. VA split cause slaves vs. no slaves.

 

I don’t know much about the Carolinas, but I hear Bojangles is pretty good.

Huh? That’s a thing here? I thought it was all Gasoline vehicles after 1975.

 

Ah you're right I just looked it up real quick but that was the federal requirement, in CA it's 1975 or older are exempt...with a few other exceptions but mostly for diesels. If that van is a diesel and older than 1997 than it doesn't need to get smogged as long as it's under 14,000lbs apparently.


just saw the link, looks like is a diesel from 1990 so that would explain how it gets around CA smog.

just make sure the engine is at least the same model year as your truck or newer, can't be older

 

I’ve been debating a Diesel swap just for shits and giggles, and the 1KZ has always been at the back of my mind. I completely forgot that Diesels are exempt from 1997. That makes it way easier versus a gasoline engine swap.

And the 1KZ was already mated to the A340F. Makes it easy.
