If you have exhausted all avenues of trying to get it done for yourself, lubing, cleaning it up or what not ,I’d run it into the shop but you might end up paying for a shop fee . Not sure about fee though

I'll try to hit it with some lube in a few more spots and see if that does anything. If not I'll bring it in.

Don't know if you usually park in a heated garage. If not, try leaving it a heated space overnight. Maybe there is a chunk of ice in a bad place.

Valid points. I am going to take a look at it next week at the least. Says its minimally used and in great shape. Said the cover looks a little beat up. Any red flags to look out for?

Always curious about discount for dealers/vendors/reps. I worked in the bike/ski world for a short time and got some pretty sweet deals.

Also got my hands on some vietnamese cold brew coffee that a bunch of you have posted about. I'm a black coffee guy but this stuff is damn good.

Yes, under it. I sprayed the cable end and where it attaches. Had to do it about once a year. I would have cleaned the exposed part of the cable if I kept it.

Vietnamese Iced Coffee (cà phê sữa đã) is my favorite coffee. Not sure if what you had is the same.

The linkage where the cable attaches to the trans is usually the suspect area. Clean it and then spray some good lubricant on there. Key on, foot on brake, shift out of park all the way down to 1st gear (if '16 runners have that option), put it back in park, and repeat the clean/ lube steps. That should hopefully take care of the problem.

And where would one get this coffee? I'm always down for trying new food and beverages. And coffee seems exciting .

At first I thought it was a fake manual option. The +/- is just an alternative to have 4 3 2 1. If you put it in 3, it'll still shift 1st and 2nd, but will never go beyond 3rd.

Ok, so I dont think there wont be any benefit going beyond D into that fake manual mode. All you want to do is exercise the linkage
