I stay on the dirt roads with a 4X2 and haven't had a problem up there for 15 plus years. If you research the area it's pretty interesting, plus on the far side of Mt. Sterling you run into wild horses, mule deer herds and depending on weather you might chance upon that small elk herd that lives in the Spring Mountains. I would image the rock crawling crowd would get bored up there.
Good place to go for back country camping & bird hunting (in season).

    ARE CX-HD

Went with the reinforced model so I never had to worry about the RTT

Thanks. Are those front pillars attached to the tops of the shell rails with any fasteners? None are visible in these pics.

Seems like ARE would've bought black anodized aluminum, or @ least powder coated black, instead of spray painting them black.

Come to think of it mine has the shape outline for the frameless windows. Now I’ve got to find a driver side frameless window. Damn you TW!

Where those bars optional? I have a CX HD reinforced roof, but do not have those bars...

No I don’t believe they are. It’s what makes it an HD. Without it it’s the CX model

Mines the HD 100% positive says it on the data plate. Strange this must be a new thing they are doing.

WHat makes it HD if it doesn't have those reinforcements?

The roof is reinforced by design. I'll get pics of the tag in the morning.

It appears their "HD" version is built just like my regular version Leer. Maybe it's because I got factory Thule roof rails?
