Where did you get the TRD battery hold down?

We have some stuff at work called “Armadillo” that is great on black plastic trim. I’ve also had luck with back-to-black, which is either from Mothers or Maguires, can’t remember. Both of those item require occasional repeat treatments. I’ve only owned this truck for less than two months so I haven’t put anything on it yet.

I agree with the useless radio knobs. The engineers that designed the temp control setup were not in the same building as the guys(M or F) that decided that particular stereo would work in a truck. Have you every tried turning the volume up with gloves on? Impossible. I did a simple mod with inserting the factory knobs into a control knob that would be used an a guitar amp.

Also, agree about the steering wheel radio control module. Has anyone tried removing the module and rotating it???

 

I got rid of my "knubs" completely a couple weeks ago..

 

That looks great. I assume it doesn't have the ability to control some of the built in controls like the OEM such as unlock preferences, etc? What did something like that run you?

 

Thank you. It does have built in controls to changing door locks, timer lock, ac climate control, etc. A special adapter is required. The deck was very expensive, got it around $775 just for the deck but I had an car auto shop do the install.

Damn! I need a buddy discount hah. No worries I am actually in SoCal but I am taking care of finances that's pushing back for awhile any type of "lift dreams." It's just not on my immediate to do list. Again, looks great!

Ballpark rough estimate on average what it would cost for what you had done?

 

Stage 2s retail at $2,100 and the SPC upper control arms go for $600. I know you can probably find deals out there or used. Def save some money if you're mechanically inclined or have a buddy that is.

 

Looks great. What lift did you use for the rear?

 

Went the Same route. There is a write up on installing the bumper without removing the factory bumper saves a lot of time. Also the VR control pack can remain mounted when you bend the bracket that will sit above it 90 degrees. Have pictures on my build thread. Feel free to pm with questions

 

Try Simple Green. It's not long lasting, but an easy solution to clean and shine when you wash it. It's works great on floor liners as well. Just make sure to rinse off well.

Question - Admittedly, I'm getting old but does anyone else have a problem seeing the marks on the HVAC controls? If that thin white line was red or orange it would be much easier to see at a glance.
