lol monster rig, yours was downright impressive the other day. I really wanted to watch you go up that crazy section where @CedarPark blew his diff but I got caught up helping with a drive shaft and missed it. Would have made for a sick video! Next time I'll have to give it a go and I'll be certain to get some footage of yours doing it.

Hey man, stranger things have happened! The crossmember is bent and the head of the bolt is bent back too. That's my best guess at least, can't really find anywhere else it would have gotten hung up on the passenger side.

These trucks are fucking impressive. Whatever I put in front of it, it just crawls right up with confidence.

Thank your sir means a lot, I had the go pro going but some where prior it got knocked down again all it got was the dash an lots of crazy banter an bottles clanking around.
Can’t believe the crossmember is bent but it held up, that’s some seriously stout stuff. Every time I venture out I’m impressed with these trucks. Chad got a pic of me in the same rut my back left tire is off the ground it appers. That sealed the deal with the setup you have.

 

I'm not completely crazy right?

My problem is I can't fit my truck into my garage far enough to close the garage door. (First world problems, amiright?)

I ask because I was just looking at jet/helicopter anchors for aircraft carrier decks.

I want to use heavy duty concrete anchor bolts to secure one of these to the front of my garage.

1) so I can properly tension my winches at home.
2) so when I have my driveline disassembled I can winch my truck or Jeep in and out of my garage. My driveway is too steep to push a vehicle into.

... I'm not crazy... Right?

Today was a good day. Killed it all day long. After work I pulled the rear tire on the dirt bike and replaced the tube. Then I put together the winch anchor under my work bench.

Had to enlarge the holes in the anchor


Total PITA because I only have cordless drills. Kept looking the batteries. But it's worth it.


The anchor is good for up to 4k lbs, should be good to pull the truck or Jeep in and out.


Let this beef skirt marinate in some salad dressing, seasoning, and tenderizer for a few days.


Threw it on the grill tonight.





Today was a good day.

 

Me and Kenny worked on his truck Tuesday and Wednesday morning. Cut the factory front cab mounts off and welded the alpine design mounts in. Was a fun job. Give a lot more clearance for his 35’s

 

I need to creep on his build some. Did he trim fenders for the 35's?

 

Yes he did that a while back. I learned a lot on this one and will be more efficient on the next

 

Yep. I definitely need to creep his build page. You guys use a cutoff wheel or plasma cutter?

 

No I used a plasma torch and dressed it up with grinders. Getting the old mounts off was the hard part. All overhead and laying on concrete. But I pulled the pin and ordered a new 10k atlas two post lift today for the shop.

 

Damn I'm jelly. That's awesome! How much overhead room do you need for one of those?

I seriously need to win the freaking lotto already...
