Same. Only thing I’ve noticed is a slight shadow from the mirror housing in the far edges since the mirrors aren’t ‘exact fit’ but are pretty damn close.

Mine are the Canadian part number, so maybe those have a brown hue? idk

Also.. it could be because there's so much snow, and the color difference is wayyyy more noticeable on a white background. If it's not white, I don't actually see a difference at all.

So I rechecked mine... And they in fact do have the brownish hue. I never noticed before, so thanks...lol.

I was thinking of getting these for my T4R. I don't recall seeing a brownish tint when I drive my girl's Rav4. I wish the convex mirrors were in the bottom corner instead of the top. When I first started driving her Rav4, it really bothered me.

So I bought the drivers side mirror the other day and haven’t actually replaced it yet but the back has 2 additional tabs I didn’t see mentioned here and curious what they are for?

The tabs in the top left are the heater but the other 2 long ones are? (1 is still covered up by packing material)

In case anyone didn’t understand what I was trying to ask- the yellow is for the heater connections and the red has metal tabs sticking out (pretty far also) the back one is still covered from shipping.

I have yet to pull the mirror off but would like to know what these metal tabs are for, worried that it will interfere once installed and curious for the purpose?

    Thanks for any input

I don't remember mine having that but it's been awhile. I still have my stock mirrors somewhere in my garage, I can check to see if they are there on the stock mirrors.

I do wonder if they are just tabs for holding though.

What are you thinking “holding”? I thought I had seen 1 picture floating around of the backside of the tacoma mirror and it didn’t have those tabs but it did have the posts that you could insert the tabs… if that makes since.

It does look like they can be removed by pushing down the locking clip and slide it out but I like to know what I’m doing before blindly doing it

Yeah I'm not sure. I'm trying to go from memory, I did this mod awhile ago. I will dig through my garage to look at my old mirrors to check. I'm sure someone who has done this more recently can provide better info.

The ones you haven't yellow, we don't have an hour start mirrors. It looks like alternate connections for mirror heat, maybe.
Long metal one on right side, we also have it on a driver side stock mirror. I'm pretty sure it's job is the prevent the mirror from rattling.
I cannot make up in your photo what's up in the middle..

FYI, autocorrect botched your reply and I can’t make out half of what you said

The yellow circle is the connectors for the heated mirrors, I got that part (I do have heated mirrors. Both red circles are the same (one is just covered up from shipping) so if those are to help prevent rattle then that part I didn’t know, thank you. I’ll try and swap them out tomorrow

I'm actually laughing my ass off!
    Another speech-to-text failure!

In that case, what I meant to say... The metal tabs you circled in red are supposed to prevent mirror from vibrating. We have those tabs on driver side mirror in our Tacomas. My passenger side mirror didn't have them, but there is a space in mirror assembly for them, so I just installed the new (Rav4) mirror with the tabs. It fits just fine.

Those tabs, while mirror is installed are pushing against the mirror assembly, eliminating reducing possibility of vibrations

Edit. Sorry for repeating myself there.

I just pulled my Rav mirrors off and you are exactly right. My mirrors have those same prongs OP. I can provide pics later. Too lazy to do it now. It's all the same though.

It will have a bronze like tint to the main mirror. And I find the passenger side useful

Only thing I’ve noticed is a glare from headlights. It’s hard to explain but it’s like a dim ghosting
