I'm working with Katie to develop the step by step install guide and make some minor improvements(I write maintenance manuals for a living)

Together we came up with a better routing between the tail gate and the bed. In previous versions the harness was routed through the hole for the camera in the tail gate and then through the larger hole where the spare tire was let down. That works but isnt necessarily pretty.

In this version we came up with two seperate sections of shrink wrap that have wire loom in between them. What this allows is for the harness to piggy back on the holes for the camera on both the tail gate and the bed. Before it was just the tailgate. The benefit here is that it clips in and follows the factory routing with an almost factory appearance.
Here are some pictures I took today while installing the test harness to ensure that Katie's new test cable would clear these plugs.

Hope you all like this little improvement.

I probably missed it, but I’ll ask anyway - when can expect the current batch to ship?

i deleted my first post.....after re-reading it and looking at pix again, it is very clear what is going on....i could not figure how you got flex tubing into holes........then i figured it out......add shrink tubing for insulation in the holes, then add flex tubing between camera and tail gate.....greta job guys.....

Exactly. There is a small gap on each plug big enough for 2 heat shrinked wires but not for the wire loom. We didn't want to run unprotected wires thru a bulkhead so this seemed like the best option.

This is going to be such a badass install guide!! I cannot wait. Super simple install as well. I hope everyone enjoyed this kit. It’s getting closer to the harnesses arriving. 10 days is right around the corner.

I was watching a YouTube video by the Taco Twonz guys of them installing the Pop n Lock kit and they (assumingly following the directions) drilled a hole through the clips to route the wires through. So with this method you are able to run the wires through or next to those clips without drilling?

No drilling or cutting. It's a tight fit tho
