Hi all. I"m selling my 2008 Tacoma. I am the second owner and purchased it in 2011 with 70,000 miles on it from CarMax. Minor *stuff* added and modified - but nothing major.

I attached a brief write-up I made for local Craigslist and another guy I knew that was interested...

    Clear title. Asking $14,000.

    2008 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport – 4.0L V6, 6 speed manual transmission. ~133,000 miles

 FJ Cruiser aluminum wheels (5 wheels in total)

 BF Goodrich All Terrain tires 265/70 R17 (5) About 20,000 miles on this set of tires – so maybe 50%

    worn.

 In 2012 or so I traded the my hood with the “scoop” to another silver Tacoma owner with a non-TRD

Sport truck – so that is why there is no hood scoop. It was fake and silly.

 Small dent in the rear bumper. I have been rear-ended at low speeds several times – unfortunately the

last one I did NOT have the receiver hitch in place so they hit and dented the bumper. This is the only

accident the truck has been in.

 In the last 18 months the following have been replaced or repaired:

    o Front windshield (Safelite)

o Front strut cartridges (OEM Bilstein HD)

o Rear shock absorbers (OEM Bilstein HD)

o Front wheel bearings (both sides)

o Front brake rotors and pads

o Rear leaf springs. The original 3 leaf springs were replaced by Toyota in 2014 under a recall

with the “new” 4 leaf springs The new springs produced the same harsh ride the originals did.

I replaced them custom replacements made by Alcan Spring (www.alcanspring.com) that

provide a much improve ride without the constant bottoming out experienced with the

    originals

o Toyota T-SB-0326-08 addresses an oil leak from the timing chain cover. The repair procdure in

this bulletin is straightforward but labor intensive (about $2500 at Toyota). I performed this

work myself. In addition to fixing the oil leak, the following parts were replaced with OEM new

    in the process

     Water pump

 Upper and lower radiator hose

 Front crankshaft main oil seal

     Spark plugs (OEM Denso’s)

 Radiator was flushed and replaced with new coolant

     Serpentine drive belt

     Stereo

o Alpine iLX-700 with WIRELESS Apple CarPlay

o 2 amps, 10 inch subwoofer, speakers in front and rear doors

     Hellwig rear antisway bar

 OEM 110V AC plug in the bed of the truck. I added a 110V outlet to the interior of the truck that pulls

    from the same OEM inverter

 OEM roof rack (cross bars)

 Console Vault. Steel, lockable console box that is hidden under the factory arm rest. Keep your

smaller valuables (or handguns) safe from smash and grab breakins.

 Truck bed - rubber bed mat, extra tie-downs installed and LED lights for helping see when

    loading/unloading at night

 2 inch receiver hitch and 7 pin trailer wiring connection

     Keys and Fobs

    o Original GRAY valet key

o 3 Toyota BLACK keys (masters) to be used in programming keys and fobs

o 1 eBay key (programmed and works)

o 5 keyless entry fobs. I believe all are currently cleared out – due to an ex-wife issue years ago

and I don’t like carrying large keychains in my pocket) but I can provide instruction to program

them back in or may do it prior to sale for the buyer

 Minor extras and small parts – Mobil1 oil filters, cabin air filters, headlight bulbs and other

    miscellaneous items.

I commented on that in the PDF that I attached. I never liked it - fake seemed silly to me. I traded a local non- scooped silver Taco (silver Taco's aren't hard to find) owner that liked the scoop.

Nice truck! Would you be interested in selling the roof rack by chance?
