Warn Semi Hidden winch bumper (New for 3rd gen Tacoma)

Did fully cutting that bottom plastic away make the remaining plastic bumper too sloppy?

 

I wouldn’t say so. I cut mine and made it look flush. Can’t even really tell without glancing at it for awhile. Covered it in painters tape before cutting it and turned out just fine. I’ll try and get pics tomorrow when there’s light.

 

Take it off your truck and take a picture, don’t tell them you installed it.

 

Oh it's off. It's so bent it cant be fully installed. I have reached out, we will see what the response is before I say who i bought it from. The odd thing is it does not look that damaged until you look closely at it. That and the fact that it's so pinched together that it is impossible to fully slide in place.

 

Could have been damaged in shipping

 

Maybe, although the box looks fine. If damage occured during shipping it was due to poor packaging. The bumper was fairly loose inside the box.

 

When i received my bumper I did a full inspection and found a few blemishes that I wasn't really happy with. I contacted WARN and sent them pictures. I was pleasantly surprised by their customer service. They responded quickly and they were very willing to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, customer service has fallen by the wayside by many manufacturers and large companies so I was very happy with their response and quick actions.

Seller is saying they are happy to refund or replace once I ship it back to them...at my expense....

Gottcha. I'll give them another try at sending a paid for return label first. But thanks for the idea.

 

After a second phone call, the seller agreed that I should not have to pay to return. They are sending UPS to pick it up. They will refund my money once they recieve it. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they did not understand the level of damage when the first postage required return label was sent.

Now I need to find a new one to order...

Hey guys. Figured I'd share a solution for those with the tss sensor. I found a listing for a grille with sensor relocation that will clear the hoop. Below will be the link.
