    Sweeeet.

I was at their new taphouse in Gorham on Saturday; they had a really good high alcohol content small batch on tap but I can't remember for the life of me what it was called :frusty:

Edit- Just looked it up. Grand Cru. I have a weakness for barrel-aged beers, though.

    Very true.

Slight tangent, but sort of relevant. My Aunt bought a new Mustang GT 5.0 a few years ago. It's a garage queen, I think in the 3 years she's owned it, it's still under 10k miles. She let me drive it once for a couple miles and I got yelled at because I let the RPMs climb over 2,000  I don't understand buying a car like that if you're not even going to come close to using it for it's intended purpose. Go get some comfy convertible instead!

Yeah, she's just struggling against the fact that she needs a Buick Cascada (Cascadia?) instead. The Coyote loves to rev, especially in the Mustangs. Let it breathe!!

There are a lot of people who own stuff just to say "I have this". There are also a lot of people who buy things thinking they need all the power/tech etc... that the thing offers and find out that it is way to much for them and they don't enjoy it...but they can't admit it...so it just never gets used.

As and edit: I myself am guilty of this, especially when I was younger. And tbh I think a lot of people have done that at some point in their life. I got a few tools I've never used and cost $$$...like my festool router:anonymous:

I live less than 15 minutes from their brewery location, even less from their little brewpub. Talk about dangerous haha

Yeah, I get it. Everyone has their thing. She loves Mustangs and is retired so she bought her dream car. It's just a shame that it'll never get used. I most of them I'm sure will never get pushed either, but she takes it to the absolute extreme. I'd keep a car like that babied as much as I could also, but when it's on the open road, I'd use every bit of HP I could get to the ground and I wouldn't even come close to consider that to be 'beating on it'. That engine is bred for it!

Give you a dollar for it. I'm still using an old Craftsman that sounds like the bearings are made of rocks. Works perfectly, just sounds terrible

Honestly Id be worried about things never getting up to operating temp and sitting for too long. I feel like not using a car and babying it can be just as bad

I hadn't been in to that new location yet. It's nice inside. Food's a little on the pricey side for what you get, though. The Liberal Cup or the Run of the Mill are better, I think. But I'm also a little biased, because I know Geoff (the head brewer) from long experience. I used to hit the Cup almost every night on my way home from work when I worked in Augusta, I have a cousin that worked as a waitress/hostess for him there for years, and I actually did some work on his house when I was working for a building contractor

I've had that thought in the back of my mind and would jump on it if I'm able to. That said, she has 2 kids who are little older than me so, unfortunately, she'll very likely give the car to one of them before she puts it up for sale. That one drive will probably end up being the first, last and only time by rear makes it to the driver seat of that car.

Barrel aged beers are awesome, well most.

Not a fan of Run of the Mill any more, at one time it was our goto, but got it got old. I do know the brewer at Nuesuch and have been drinking his stuff for many years. Although once he opened up the place, the quality wasn’t there, I have heard it’s gotten better but I haven’t been in a while.

Not much variety in the menu, for sure. I could see how it'd get old if you went frequently. I think the Cup has had pretty much the same menu the entire time I've been living in this area, going on 12 years now.

I'm not even a fan of the paddles. Just give me a real manual and I'm happy.

Depends on the situation, for me. For instance, I very much like a manual for most driving scenarios. But for towing or plowing, an automatic is so much easier to live with, especially the newer ones that you can lock out specific gears or take full manual control and decide when it shifts. Same as if I had a commute that involved a lot of time sitting in traffic or an abundance of traffic lights, I'd rather have a slushbox. But when I was driving back roads to and from work I loved having a low-powered manual shift vehicle, especially during the winter.
