Split loom under the truck. Its gonna catch alot of muck and the flexweave style tends to let it hang on instead of wash off

That is a nicely engineered bracket. High end stuff I can see why its 5 times the price of the one sold here.

I was going to take measurements before even seeing it (had it for months and just opened it now) but that’s a big ask after looking at it now

But if you really really need it, I can give it a go

@Oscar I you were the guy doing the step by step install, correct?

Would it be possible to un tape the loom piece that goes between the tailgate and the bed and stuff the 2 wires into the loom for an even cleaner install?

Not easily. I looked at that and it's a tight bundle and the level of effort is beyond what I would consider a simple install. At this point this is a very easy install but YMMV

Nice way to mount your actuator! I wonder how much the rubber is deadening the sound of the actuator. I already have the Pop and Lock. But if I was to start again, I definitely would put your mounting ideas to use.

Alright guys, let’s keep it on track o_O
I’ll take a look at it when it’s time. I’m not so much concerned with simple as I am clean. I can see taping it back up might be a pain though

Anyone know the awg for the 2 wires to tap into from the pnp?

@Skydvrr why do you feel the PNP Harness is intrusive? Is one of the most basic things you can install. I’m a little confused. I know I’ve been a little busy lately and may have missed something. Look forward to hearing from you so I can answer any questions you may have at this time.

Once you unplug the camers harness under the truck you can remove the black clips and pull the whole harness into the tail gate. That may make it easier to repurpose the bundle

His complaint is the holes for the actuator that need drilled.

I use 18 AWG for the PNP and the Wire Harness. The Actuator comes in I believe 22 AWG. I believe the OEM Wire Harness is also 18 or very close.

They are extremely small and it’s the tailgate that gets covered up by the trim covering. It’s no big deal at all. I cannot change that part but maybe he can play around with it and instead of securing it to the top of the tailgate, he can secure it to the inside posts so it is hidden. I don’t know. To me, with all of my mods on my truck, that is a very small detail. To each their own and I respect that tho. I’d say try to mount it on the inside post. That could be a possibility.

Yeah Inalready explained that and he should be good. The pop&lock brand comes with a bracket but its 5 times the price of the supplied actuator but the option exists to purchase it from Amazon or something if anyone prefers. At 150 I wouldn't have done this mod. But at 65 all in and I dont have to splice factory wires it's a win win
