I might take you up on that but not right now hahah I appreciate it! im going to wait a bit tho cuz I need to pay the other half of my front bumper, and I might end up needing to replace my front coils too due to the added weight. I have the 887's right now but im not sure how much this bumper weighs. plus I also need to order my 1'' BL as well hahaha im going to wait to order my HC rear until july or august so I can order the swingout with it and have the cash for it instead of just putting it on my CC. im just putting some money aside every month and I already have some saved up. do u know what metal frame plated people are adding when they install front bumpers? they are like square plates or something

You can either do these, I like them the best because they also bolt to where the sway bar goes on the frame and not just one bolt through the frame. May require some modification to work with your bumper.
    https://www.c4fabrication.com/product/05-15-2nd-gen-tacoma-front-bumper-frame-support-brackets/

Or this route this replaces the factory 6 bolts with bigger grade 8 ones and turns the chinsy thin metal plate to 3/16" steel wayyyyy beefier.

Or if you really want to go crazy do both like @Casper66 did. Although he made both for his truck maybe he can post the pics so you can see. But his bumper isn't going anywhere you'd bend the frame or rip his aluminum before the mounts failed.

Is this what you are talikng about?

3/16 plates that tie all the front part of the frame even the cross brace together and I replaced the fatory hardware with grade 8, 1/2" hardware

    or this

Beefed up frame tie in brackets that take any pull on the bumper back into the frame

I made mine. When I looked at current designs I figured why not extend them some and tie in more of the frame.

What does theirs look like? I noticed after I made these somebody had put out a set that looked just like them.

Yep on anything on the website. Well except shipping, powdercoat, and line-x. Also doesn't apply to the swag.

Yep that's very similar. IDK how they figure bolt length. I welded my bolts in place so it's not like I can just change them. When you do them weld the plates up but before you weld the bolts test fit everything and make sure they are long enough. If they're 2" bolts you're good. I used 2" on the next one I did and they came out about perfect. You may be able to get away with 1 3/4 which is why i suggested a test fit with the bumper. Bear in mind i also added the frame tie in brackets which take up space.

Wanna make me some and add it to the list for the weekend :D:boink:

Also what do you think should we cut the spring perches off and replace them with correct width ones or just re-use the stock ones on the axle. Just looking for your input on this one.

Either way that is a decision you have to make. Utilizing the existing ones would, of course, be easiest but we aren't going for easy. How much wider are the springs than the perches? perhaps inquire on a thread where they have done this swap? BTW Bill is out with his back again. He should be fine by the time we do this but I can feel his pain

Yep! You can believe everything you hear on the internet. I believe this one is true though. @TaKoToy can attest to it first hand.
