Could you get a hack saw blade in there and make a cut in the bushing first?

I'm free around 11/11:30 today if you need a hand. Also if the castle nut on the UCA is the same size as the castle nut on the tie rod end I have one of those for you as well.

We talked about doing that as a last resort but didnt have a blade. I think that probably would have worked.

hmmm Progressive said the rates in the Denver area went up for all of their customers due to an increase in hail/accident claims

The new nut from the dealership did the trick, got the truck back together and in the garage for now. Now I need to find the motivation to rip it apart and take the dust shield out

So i was curious about looking at different home insurance. so i thought i see what a broker could find they did find a lower home rate. Need to see if its really a deal, but if i tried to loop in auto in they qouted me 2000 bucks a year for a 2014 tacoma no acidents and no tickets i about cried laughing. I currently pay 800 a year with statefarm and they raised my home insurance buy about 200.00 so i been looking around too just seeing what i could do.

Drive it and find where it squeaks.
Mine did in certain spots. Just take the tire off and bend or pound as needed.

What he said thats what i did! You can also jack up the truck with the tire on spin the tire by hand and see if its touching i did that and was able to bend it out of the way!

It's constant contact from what I can see. The angle at which the spindle makes contact with the dust shield pushes it right into the disc. No room to bend it out of the way.

I'll try and snag some today. To me it looks like there is no space between the disc/dust shield/spindle. It's constant contact between the 3 of them.

What dealer are you using? Why are they just leaving easy money on the table?

Well I should ask, are you going in asking for the right service? Don't go in and ask for (insert TSB number here), go in and complain that you have a stumble on acceleration at higher elevations and that every time you turn the wheel the engine stumbles and it stays in 4th gear all the time on the highway. They'll know your needing a reflash with that.
