    Front window tint, tool box, bed mat
    Not a tacoma but my wife’s Expedition has some funky stuff building up on the black rubber trim on the door for the window, I’m wondering what y’all have used to clean something like this off. Looking for suggestions. Thanks in advance

    Try vinegar and water mixture first. If that doesn't work you can try denatured alcohol, but spot check it first. Also the have stuff called Mold armor, but again spot check a small area first. I have used all in boat apps, for mold on rubber/plastic/vinyl. Simple Green works also.

    That is not going to help with cleaning the rubber trim. Protecting maybe, cleaning no.

    Worked on a Civic I have with the same stuff on it. Sprayed on a rag rubbed it a little and it came off.

    If it’s mold generally it’s going to take some scrubbing. I have some on my drivers door window and had to scrub like a bitch to get it off.

    To date I’ve used a carefully applied portion of polishing compound on a rag. So far so good, no spots on paint and the mold is disappearing slowly...... but a lot of elbow grease is required..... will update when the weather and time allows me to continue.

    Im in the same boat, the rubber around my rear window looks like this but worse. Ive been meaning to research it and find out what to do about it but never get around to it. If its a form of mold wont vinegar kill mold?

    I'm going to suggest - apply liberally, it's cheaper and works like a charm. Apply liberally (wipe off of paint) available at HD, Lowes. Get the oil-based Penetrol.jpg
