I always think this is a funny point to make on this site, with the small exception of the long travel section. Think of the type of offroading the guy who made this thread is going to do in a loaded truck with a canopy. It's not a trophy truck. He'll never be taking whoops at 45mph loaded up for camping with a canopy on the back. He's not going to get air. He's not going to unload then hard load the suspension. Limiter straps are ridiculous to even mention in this context.

Over extending shocks or bottoming out shocks just isn't a concern to think about when building most rigs, because you're not going to go balls to the wall in a $35k truck with $5k+ of mods on it. Even if you take your expensive truck on highly technical trails and flex the shocks all the way out, or bottom them hard, 99.9% of the people who would ask about this sort of thing will be moving slow enough that damage won't occur.

If you're in the minority crazy enough to actually go hard in a $40k truck, good on you, that's awesome and I'm completely jealous of your financial freedom that allows you to do so. But, that type of person doesn't make a post asking for constructive suspension opinions, they just go buy a set of shackles, some beefy leafs, crazy long shocks, and hack apart their brand new truck because they know what they want. I just don't get trying to generalize the most extreme use cases to a standard build. It's not contributing a constructive suspension opinion, which is literally the title of this thread.

It’s constructive in my opinion so I posted it. There’s nothing wrong with knowing the potential limitations of what you’re buying even if you’re not going to hit those limits.

You don’t need the diff drop. Completely unnecessary for the 3rd gens. I had one, then took it out because it caused more harm than good. CV angles were darn near identical with or without it in. Top pic is with it, bottom without

Add ADS extended travel at 9.88” of full travel extension

Good setup, I agree you don’t need the diff drop. I’m in the group of where it doesnt do anything. All you need is the ecgs mod if there is a problem post lift.

I went this icon RXT leaf pack option 3 vs Dakar’s due to the squeaking complaints. Looks like you carry more weight than me so maybe dakars is better for your setup.

Just to note I switched out my 5160s For the 8100 bypass shocks. Much better ride and hold the weight better especially hitting harder bumps. 6112s I have no complaints I have 650 springs.

JBAs over SPCs unless you know a shop that knows how to adjust SPCs.

That’s cuz their sold out everywhere lol. I forgot when they’re restocking but just ask some of the vendors and they will let you know.

Good luck finding a set. Sell out immediately when back on the shelves.

6112 already come with springs due to the wide shock body, you wont need eibach springs also.
