Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Coo, thx! I thought I needed a windows computer for this.

 

A VM (boot camp) is not *officially* supported but like @Shellshock said, many people have set it up that way and it has worked fine.

 

Bootcamp isn’t a vm. It’s natively installed just like any other windows pc

 

Naw your good. That’s I’ve used for the last year and a half and it’s worked flawlessly.

Here we were about to stay on the new 87 base tune after playing with the 87 and 91 performance tunes ,and be quite happy but NOOOOO ………………..
Mat has to come out with new dyno charts with a new revelation of the performance tunes that look awesome . Lower to mid range torque is what this truck needs and the flat torque curve range on the chart may be the holly grail for us .The fun never stops and a mid range tip in with the new 87 performance tune may be perfect ? Our little purple dongle friend is eagerly awaiting .

And I'm sure you'll need it another 20 times. The counterintuitive part of this is that you don't actually use Techstream at all. Anyway, I went from 04B02 (base 93) to 04B04 93 Performance. Hooooolllly shit this one is fun.

He did say 2019 was the year he was going to explicitly focus on the 3rd gen Tacoma. It’s only March extrapolate that to November or December based on the news he has released so far. Not to mention that was ONE DAY of dyno tests.

Been trying to install this damn TS for 3 days now. I’ve read all the instruction links and now keep getting this no
matter which version I try to load. Any suggestions? I’ve never had any problems loading the tune software and I know this can’t be this difficult

 

That seems like something where your AV flagged something and stole one of the files.

 

I'm still waiting on my cable, but trying to get everything squared away and ready for when it arrives. I know it has been asked before, but should I flash the TSB and then flash the tune?

 

I’m done with this TS. Lol. I’ve wasted enough time on it. Anyone in the Tampa/Clearwater area have it downloaded already?
