If you could repaint your 1st gen any color, what would you choose?

Like the title says, if you were to repaint your 1st Gen Tacoma what color would you choose?

Alternately, post pics of your favorite 1st gen paint jobs.

Personally, I really like some of the new flatter/less metallic colors being used on FJ's, newer Tacoma's and new Subaru's, but I can't picture what it would look like on our older Trucks.

lol ... wanna see those horses at work and also see what I am driving over
i just needed a laugh is all...

i think this was cobalt blue metallic like my old '95 non-taco, it should go well with blue grey interior and charcoal gray silver SR5 striping?

not actual picture of what I had but very close, striping, hubs and all

what would estimated cost be for this on an xtracab,
5 to 7 grand? I will have to consult my local body shop, could be a good way to take care of some nicks from gravel chips here and there through the years

If it really needs a paint job, and it is worth the cost, I would stick with the original color. Much cheaper to do ,engine bay, door jambs, between cab and bed. Unless the color is something you can’t stand, or you are good at painting. To do a different color and do it right, is a lot of work.

Yeah, you make a sound point, its the smart choice, and what I will likely do when the time comes (its hard to dislike a white Truck), however thinking about repainting has got me daydreaming about all the possibilities. I really like some of the newer Desert Tans, Coyote, and Sage Green colors that have become more popular recently, I also like some of the new flat blue-grey colors I've been seeing around.

A google image search for "taliban tan" probably put me on some watch list, but it didn't get me any closer to actually knowing what color that is. Have an example to share? :D

Repaint it white and get some cool vinyl graphics, just to keep the head daydreaming.

saw this truck at the local parts store. guy said he wanted to paint it red but made a mistake in the paint code and got this by accident. i really like it.it's like a red rock or burnt orange. definitely not straight red

Yeah, I like that color too. I might go with a little more orange and a little flatter paint if it were me. Like a rust or Utah red rock color

Yeah, that color is near the top of my list. Love the look, and I prefer a color that does a decent job blending into the environment when I'm camping in the backcountry

    favourite factory colors:

    1.paradise blue metallic
    2.white
    3.surfside green
    4.mystic purple

I have to repaint my truck and it will stay the same color: white. A color change is not cheap and white is my #2 favourite anyway:)
