3" expedition springs, can pull this little trailer at 85 MPH if needed to pass something. Usually rolling with Cruise control on at around 65 MPH. Trailer tracks with truck real nice. About to install 15" wheels with some all terrain tires on the trailer. I like to get away from everything. Check this out, 4 days in Moab, no one was around. Lots of fun my friends.

that's pretty sweet! I was thinking about getting a little single axle Airstream after I pay the truck off myself.

they are a bit over priced but the quality is amazing. when it comes to campers a lot of companies skimp on materials Airstream is "you get what you pay for" quality.

I didn't do much of anything today. But we've got some winter weather moving in. Figured I'd throw on the Duratracs just in case.

More progress today on my rear shock relocate. Got the drivers side stock mounts cut off, so all the shitty part is done now.

Now I just need to weld all the new stuff on, set my bump stops, and swap my shackle bushings for poly ones! Getting there.

I'm a bit embarrassed to follow that up with this: renewed registration and new license plates. Easy to install, hard to stomach the cost. $360.

    20190302_105841.jpg

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to run some errands and drive over all of the potholes that the money I spent is supposed to help fix.

Nice little camper. I've been starting to look at ones around that size. My original plan was to install a cap, get an air mattress and camp in the back of the truck. Then it hit me that I could never talk the girlfriend into that, so started camper shopping. Not sure if it will happen this year or not though.

Greased 5 zerks today. Bought the Walmart grease gun ~$16 + Red N Tacky #2 = worked perfectly. Definitely doing it every oil change. 60DCD422-B508-4D98-86ED-82010AEB2422.jpg

Had the stealership do the full transmission flush and fill (didn’t have time) and I did the rear differential. Look mom, no major metal bits!

    Just hit the 150k mark.

I’ve been meaning to do that but everyone says to drop the pan and clean the magnets before a full flush what’d you do?

Got the x-bull recovery tracks and decided to try them out. The snow was pure slush so it wasn't hard to get stuck. They work great!

Saw those reviewed by an Aussie and his 4WD friends putting them through the wringer next to MaxTrax. At half the price they stood up pretty well to a good thrashing through sand recoveries, steep angle ascent ramping and ditch crossings. Of course they didn't quite match up to MaxTrax, but for what I'd be using them for since I don't get too much opportunity to overland, they fit the bill for "light" work. The video (below) is a great review. I have two sets of these for the rare beach recovery which usually means someone who drove their street car too far up the dunes in Daytona! Between these and a snatch strap I'm prepared for some off-pavement fun. Recommend a length of paracord or some sort of leash on them so you can recover them without having to dig down in the mud/snow to find them.
