Looks great, but I'm a little confused. Are the new graphs for the updated 87 performance tune with 93 in the tank?

 

That's what it sounds like, right? An 87 friendly tune. Imagine what the 93 optimized tune will look like.

 

Is mat refining the tune even more or are these dyno data strictly just from current tune setup?

Part bitching part question.
I was able to put quite a few highway and interstate miles on today with the 91 gearlock tune.
Why the hell does this truck go full retard with cruise control engaged?
Climbing the pass its 6 3 456 3 456 3. Turn off the cruise and pedal it up 4 and 5 with predictable downshifts to 5th. No redlining the engine downshifting 3 gears.

Flatish ground cruise sucks too. I run obdfusion and watching my Torgue Converter lock up in 4th gear to climb a slight grade then stay locked halfway down the other side is crap. I physically have to bump the throttle to get it to unlock and shift up. It does the same in fifth and then down hill or flat out I have to bump the throttle to get it to unlock and shift up into 6th where the tc locks for a second before down shifting and locking in 4th.
Switch cruise off and its 5th and 6th with no special intervention to make it upshift.

Why does it feel like this stupid truck is back to the stock tune everytime the cruise is on. I tried both radar and normal cruise. 65 70 75 and 80 speed zones. Cruise is basically useless. I dont feel like pedaling it everywhere is there anything that can be done about that or is it the nature of the beast?

Pedaling it this tune is perfect. If cruise wouldnt go retarded I'd be soooooo happy.

 

You’ve got radar cruise? It hasn’t been tuned yet. It’s Still running factory config on trucks with TSS as mat hasn’t had a truck to test with and obviously doesn’t want something crazy to happen if he tweaks cruise. He’s getting one soon so he can refine it

 

Going up and down highway overpasses in cruise here in flat Florida is not as bad but also not as good as pedaling. The same overpass may shift down to 5th while pedaling but in cruise will go down to 4th, same speed. Does CC use a different shift map?

 

In a word, cruise control dosen’t work with the tune. Don’t use CC and you’ll be a happy guy.
