Bit has happened in the last week. Got it home finally. plated and insured. Got a light switch with fog lights (prewired) and upgraded it to intermittent wipers (i had these things laying around from previous projects), Also added cruise control.

New fender is here from toyota, Going to pull the bed this week. once the beds off its going to the body shop to have the cab and everything straightend and painted (cement grey). Have a line on a bed. just waiting for pics of the floor to make sure its a solid bed.

Been driving the truck for a while (Body fucked and all). got some miles on it now. so feel good to go ahead and replace the t-belt, w/p, cam seals, Powder coat the valve covers (why not, they have to come off for the cam seals anyway) Tune up, PCV valve and some other little odds and ends.

Also picked up a tilt steering column to add so i can reach the wheel easier (seats shot, sink into it when i sit.)
probably will be a week or so on the t-belt and shit. busy week ahead with other work.

t-belt w/p, both cam seals, New tensioner pulley bearing (im cheap), new drive belt, powder coated valve covers and an oil change later. the engines sorted out for now.
(these seals are installed in such a way that you must remove the cams to replace them)

its probably all blocked, i just use discord for the photos because of the ease for me lol.

but yes shes all sorted, for a neglected vehicle the inside of the engine is extremely clean, just sludge in the typical corner of the driver side.. super minimal too ( the engine runs hot there on all the for what ever reason)

Interesting, Wonder if there's no cooling channels in that area of the block.

it seems to be a thing on all the toyota v6 and v8s in trucks. hell the 3.0 in the pickups would blow head gaskets in that spot.. they have cooling there. its probably because of the log manifold, all that heat its at that side and its close to the head

It’s a long bed. Just a little bent up.

Haha ya just “a little”. If that newish box doesn’t work out what are your thoughts on a flat bed?

I keep toying around with the idea. But honestly my neighbors would have a field day complaining about it. They already don’t like that there’s 4 cars outside and 3 in my garage. I have to hide the tundra because it’s considered an eye sore right now. Lol

Oh completely forgot. I also added tilt steering and @Sperrunner got me all the harnesses I was looking for to add more features like the factory tow package!

Sadly. Hell. In my town you can’t even park an unregistered vehicle in your own driveway. The police will ticket you

Yikes. When we were house hunting non-HOA was a requirement!

Basically though, all you need to do is become the HOA president and then you get to run the show.
