Well, not complete due to a poorly described part, but all that remains is the tie rod stuff..... AND it is better. BETTER, BETTER, BETTER!

And I added zerks to every fitting that has blue you can see, and those you can't! So, I feel pretty upgraded for me!

Looks good! It's a bit more work but the parts last a lot longer. Have you seen this?

Yep. My big boy gun came, but not my grease. I took my new one to Triple C, Chris' is more pro, but same tip. So, while I thought about $25 at Amazon, if he doesn't have it, not gonna buy it for me! Be like buying a new torque wrench! My needle wrenches been hanging on the wall for a decade now! don't need a click or a digital if I don't take them down!
So, after watching the gun at work, I'm pretty good and can save my $25 for alignment money!:rofl::anonymous:

    Lol

I've been thinking about getting one. Some of my zerks are a pain to get to and as soon as the grease starts flowing it'll pop right off. Pretty annoying.

That's what I thought, and almost bought it. Now he had my tires off (of course), but with 18" of flex tube, he held the end on, and counted his pumps every time, and not once did the tip come off the zerk. Can't say I've done that....

Now his and mine both have little grips on the end! Maybe that is the difference. My old one did NOT. Just bare metal. Maybe you just need a cheap new tip!

Rarely happens with me. The zerks on my upper control arms are the worst. Only get 1/3 or so in. With the tires off it's not so bad. I guess I just need to hit them when I rotate my tires. Makes perfect sense now that I think about it lol, I rotate my tires when I change the oil every 5k. Why not grease then also?

I'm old and with my new old truck, and discovering it's real history, I still farm that stuff out. NOW, when I go back to my good Toyota Service Advisor, I'm gonna have to ask him if they will actually hit all these new zerks that weren't there! If not, I have a GUN! :infantry:

    1. Actually, I like the marine grade grease Chris uses, and make sense for you off road crazies. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ARPVO8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    2. If they don't, then I won't mix grease!

And that's exactly why I do all my own maintenance. I hate wondering if everything is torqued properly, or not knowing if they used the oil I paid for, or if the filter is on correctly, or if they screwed something up and aren't telling me. I hate not knowing stuff like that. So I just do it all.

I have known and worked with Bob at SM Toyota for nigh on 20 years. Could not ask for better. When I had my brake issue this week, I took pictures of my last inspections, sent them to him, about my "surprise". I was reading the report wrong. He called me at home and went through the whole thing. While I was waiting for what I thought would be a "flush" of the system, he was out three times to give me the heads up. He lives for his survey, I make sure they do what they say. For me, easier that getting up. I can fall under the truck ok, it's getting back up!

    But I totally understand.

Sounds like you've got a good tech on your team! I'd trust someone like that. But then I wouldn't get to have any fun in the garage

It is. And I still get to have fun doing stuff I want, not what the truck wants me to get on the ground for! When I replaced my step bars with the Predators, I spent more time getting back up, than actually working! o_O OK, a little more stretches and work out will improve that.

I like to mess around with stuff I can stand up for - some bizarre switches coming up for me!

AND, I did get you TWO stickers.....

    Bizarre switches you say?

I do hate the getting up and getting down and forgetting a wrench and getting back up and getting back down and realizing it's metric and getting up and getting down and it's the wrong size and getting up and getting down and it's dark and I need a light and getting up and getting down and I left my wrench on the tailgate when I went to get the light and getting up and getting down.

    That's actually happened.
