I was looking at getting the knock off Prinsu rack and saving a few bucks, but then came across this guy and really like the thought and design he has put into it. So might spend a little more and get this instead. Anyone else besides @EatSleepTacos following his design?

It's all good. Back in 2000 I had a slammed Corolla with the carbon fiber treatment and a purple neon undercarriage glow kit.

 

The hood scoop/spoiler things aren't my style but overall it looks cool.

 

That thing looks wicked. I wonder what the pricing will be and if they will fit 2nd Gens too.

 

Just nos. I also made solid engine mounts for them and, thru a forum, sold & shipped them all over the world. That money funded every mod to the car.

 

I would assume they would fit 2nd gen as well. At least with the oem roof rack, they’re interchangeable between the two gens. I think prinsu is the same way.

 

That’s such a smart way to do things, like what mesojdm does with all his stuff.

 

That's what I would think. I'm guessing these are going to be more expensive though since it's just 1 guy making them.

It's actually a company he works for. Price on the thread is 999. There are a few add on things I think.

 

$800 shipped* so barely any more than prinsu

 

Actually $849 shipped isn't too bad since CBI adds about 75 for shipping.

 

I had a Saturn SL2 back in college that I autox'ed in the street prepared class.

 

Yeah exactly. Still a little more, but imo a much better rack.

 

Honestly, reading thru it, the lower roof height, the extra add ons,etc if I were in the market, I would honestly get this over the prinsu.

As for me, I will just get gages rack at 450 and call it a day.
